Bio Photo The son of the Rev'd James Richard Laubach, Sr. and Doris Elaine Rudert Laubach, brother of James Richard Laubach, Jr. and Robert Alan Laubach, I was born on January 18, 1961. Since January 1986 I've served as Organist and Choirmaster of St. Stephenís Episcopal Church in Wilkes-Barre. In 2008 I was made Honorary Canon Precentor of the Episcopal Diocese of Bethlehem. I received a Bachelorís Degree in Church Music from Westminster Choir College, a Masterís Degree in Organ Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester, and served for one year as Fellow in Church Music at Washington National Cathedral. My organ teachers have included Clinton Miller, George Markey, Donald McDonald, and David Craighead. Since winning first prize in the 1984 American Guild of Organists (AGO) National Competition, I've performed in many churches and concert halls in the USA, and in Great Britain (including Westminster Abbey and St. Paul's Cathedral in London) and Germany. I'm a frequent recitalist, clinician, and competition adjudicator for National and Regional Conventions of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) and National and Regional Conferences of the AAM Association of Anglican Musicians (AAM). I've recorded three critically acclaimed compact discs on the Pro Organo label Ö Teutonic Titanics, French Fest, and Mosaics in Sound. I teach organ students privately and at Marywood University in Scranton.
