Bio and Links
Bio Photo An old soldier, who is well-read and blessed with a good education. My interest in family history was fed by the women of my family, God bless them. My mother always assumed I'd write the family history, whatever that means. To the best of my knowledge she knew only her grandparents.

Family lore had circulated about our ancestors rafting down the Ohio River. This was somewhat supported by a sheaf of fading, flaky photostats discussing the Mefford family of Mason County, Kentucky, which I inherited upon my mother's death. However, when analyzing the names I couldn't bridge the gaps between missing generations.

In 1991, after I acquired my first computer, I discovered tools and a matrix in which to place my data and developed ways to expand upon it. With the passage of time, I have traced some of my lines of descent through the Plantagenets to the Counts of Anjou and Normandy, discovered numerous Colonials — even dating back to Colonial Jamestown, at least six Revolutionary War patriots, and I've encountered numerous cousins I hadn't known existed — some of those have become dear friends and collaborators.

My mother would have been astounded and proud of the family I've rediscovered. N.B.: My maternal lines include, but are not limited to: Neal, Mefford [Meffert], Turley, Bailey, Raizor (Razor), Witcher, Dewitt, Sullivan, Rice, Rule, and Abshire. My paternal lines from Lebanon, to the best of my knowledge, include: Farris, Solomon [Suleiman], Hayek, al Khoury, Guttas, Ishe [Eishy], Tanous, Romanos, Shouwaysha, and Zoghby.

RE: William H. Fightmaster: FAG Memorial# 116033463
I sent you a message yesterday explaining. Mr. & Mrs. Fightmaster are in unmarked graves. They are buried in the Benjamin L. Bridges plot. There must have been some connection between the two families. Mr. & Mrs. Fightmaster were the 1st two burials in the plot, followed by an Infant Bridges, Mr. Bridges, Mrs. Bridges and a Female Bridges. The pics I posted are of the plot and the footplate showing that Turley #827 is the Bridges plot. How this clarifies things.

Sorry, but the graves of Wm & Harriett Fightmaster have no visible markers. They are the 1st two burials in the Benj. L. Bridges family plot. I'll post pics of the plot...feel free to delete if not wanted. Thx.

RE: Easter Pauline Pruitt, née Shinn: FAG# 70441714
I am sorry to say that the headstone is so worn that I could not read most of it when I photographed it.

I am short on time because I am going on vacation (military reunion) but I want to give you some Find A Grave Memorial numbers that will help. Also, I looked on Ancestry and got a little more information. If you will check back with me later I will try to help more.

I guess, with all the last names, I didn't realize I created a duplicate memorial. I'll delete mine. If I don't still have the pictures I'll retake them and add them. Could you request they add grave location of Row 8a, lot 7, site 2?
