Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born at Crawford Long Hospital Atlanta Ga. on November 12 1945. Grew up in Adamsville and West End (Southwest Atlanta) I have been working on my ancestry for a few years now and have a lot on Find a Grave. My Grandfather Floyd Amber Fincher died before I was born. My family lost tuch with each other,so grewing up didn't know many of the Fincher Family. But now I am finding them every where, even live in the same place and didn't know how we were kin,now I know. Have traced our Fincher Family Back to Francis Fincher 1500 England and found that most the Finchers are kin just on different Branches. Found a lot on here that is in my line and branch. Thanks to Find a Grave. Francis Fincher 1626 came over on the Bristol Ship with his Family in 1683 into the port of Pa.

RE: Elias Fincher
No I do not. I did go by that cemetery where Jesse is buried and it looks like the bottom of where a headstone rests next to him. The headstone itself is missing. Does the church or anyone have the records to exactly who is buried in that cemetery? I am actually at the moment tracking some info on who could be her brothers, looking for anything at all that would lead to where she is found. From what I can tell by the records she has to be buried somewhere in that area. The women are the hardest ones to find it seems. I am also trying to find where Jesse's father and wife might be in South Carolina and not finding much yet. There are several Fowler's in that cemetery with Jesse but can not link them to Elizabeth at this time. I wish I lived closer so I could sleuth more often. I can help with the Texas Fincher's. Thanks once again for all you do as it does help with putting links together!

Elias Fincher
Find A Grave Memorial# 62831723 It is showing some man as the mother. I think it should be Nancy Elizabeth Fowler. It has Jesse Fincher as his father which is correct. Thanks for all you do.

Coday Fowler, Sr.
I see you are a manager for this grave:
Fowler, Coday, Sr., 35744527, b. 1771 d. 1852

Are you related to the Fowlers of Jackson Co., Georgia? I would like to make contact with someone who is researching on that Fowler line.

RE: Jesse Mitchell
I am Ezra's Great grand daughter. My mother was Billie Jean Fincher and she was Ezra and Ellen's daughter. I put everything I can on my ancestry.com tree----Krumm Fincher tree. It has been hard locating anyone from that side of the family. So glad to hear I have a cousin out there :) I remember a picture of a lady hanging in the guest bedroom at Ezra's and Ellen's house and my other cousins have no idea who she was and I have no idea who she was or who even has it now. Pictures have been hard to come by. I am planning on a trip to Georgia in March to try to locate some more information. I am working on my Colonial Dames of the XVII Century application- through Francis Fincher and my DAR through Jesse's son Hilliard who married Sarah Elizabeth Carmichael. (That was the pair that were cousins). What ever information you might need that I have I am more than willing to share. vlduke@yahoo.com

Jesse Mitchell Fincher
I am wondering if you have had any luck in finding where Jesse Mitchell Fincher might be buried. He is son of Joseph and Lucinda Fincher. I am kin through his son Hilliard Marion Fincher son of Jesse (JM) and Sarah Elizabeth Everett. He was in the CSA and spent time as a POW at Camp Douglas.Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.

RE: Sarah Strickland
Hi Nancy,

I am a Strickland descendant (through my great-great grandmother - Cora Strickland Gregory of Delaware County, NY). I was curious to see if there might be a connection through this line, but it would have to be a very distant one (back in England). Anyhow, I'm glad to have helped you!
