"What good is genealogy if it isn't freely shared?"|
This is my lifetime indoor sport. You are invited to visit my home page. Additions, corrections, and constructive comments are always welcome.
William and Frances O'Daniel of Stafford County, Province of Virginia, are my fifth great-grandparents. In the early 1700s, they lived on Accotink Creek in that part of Stafford which became Prince William and then Fairfax County in 1741.
Brick wall: Who were his parents? What was his wife's maiden name?
I have been proactively researching my family's paternal and maternal family lines for over 20 years. Family lines include O'Daniel, Daniell, Daniel, Daniels, Baker, Burgess, Butts, Cannon, Casady, Clements, Cook, Cooke, Ditmore, Herlihy, Pearson, Raiford, Rice, Rowan, Swanson, and many more.
I will happily transfer memorials to direct line descendants or to family members more closely related to individuals than I am. Edits and additions to memorials are appreciated.

I felt you knew more about these memorials than I would and wanted you to have them. I am so sorry it took so long to get back to you, I have taken a short break from findagrave to take care of my husband. If I have any other memorials I hold please let me know.

I'm adding a photo for Alfous A Daniell, Jr. but I could not locate Malinda. She's listed in the same plot, but no engraving on the front or back of the stone.
I would suggest leaving her request up, because these plots are not in numerical order. I looked all around where I found Alfous but didn't see her. My guess is she's in the same plot.
The numbering on the stones here is completely out of order. I called the cemetery number and they said that's just how they are laid out here. I was actually searching section B when I found this one!

I have dropped the middle name and placed a note in the bio area that the name Henrietta is found in obits of sons Ralph and Michael. If a middle initial is not found on the marker, I normally do not add a middle name, so not sure if I made a mistake or someone was able to get Find A Grave to make that addition. Those are the only 2 records that I found the name Henrietta.

Were does this come from? Parents? Husband? DOB/POB/POD?

Could you explain this note added to William's memorial: "NOTE WELL: Concerning Charles Brunk Heinemann's work: "The seemingly accurate article on the Daniel Family now in Hayden Virginia Families has been shown to be almost entirely erroneous." This statement is printed in the "Foreword" of the book pages in possession of this compiler. In the first five pages there are numerous assignment errors which mix members of the unrelated O'Deneale and O'Daniel families, as well as apparently combining individuals from two different O'Daniel lines." It's a little confusing to me. What info should I consider truth, and what is "erroneous". Thanks very much - Phyllis
PS: I also have a few of the surnames you list, in my family tree: O'Daniel, Burgess, Baker, Cooke (Frances Cooke was my 10th GGF).

I have been trying to untangle some family lore about my Daniel ancestors who lived in Indiana/Kansas/Oklahoma/Missouri, and it looks like they may trace back to your William O'Daniel. The info I have seen suggests that he immigrated from Ireland, but I do not know for sure.
