You sponsor a memorial for William Marion Kelley. I believe him to be the brother of Valentine T Kelley(Memorial #81058436). Are you related to this person? I am looking for Lige Kelley, who is the father fo Valentine T Kelley and my great grand father, James Edward Kelley. If so can you share any information on family ancestry to me.

RE: Edward W. Hughes
Send me which ones you many want. Please, however use the edit feature. It makes it much easier on me to make sure to send the correct memorial.

Kerry, if these Hughes are your family I'd be glad to transfer them if you're interested.

Thanks again for your help.

RE: Edward W. Hughes
Kerry, I found both Josiah and Mary and did memorials for them, and linked all the children I could locate.

Edward W. Hughes
Hi Kerry, thanks for the information. No I did not create a memorial for the Edward who died in 1943. You can create the memorial if you so wish. If you want me to, please let me know. He is the correct husband for Virginia Randolph Pinckney.

RE: Walter Hughes
Is the Walter Hughes you are looking for possibly William W. Hughes born about 1879 in Georgia and died 26 Mar 1966. Parents were Humphrey O Hughes (1855-1905) and mother Agusta L.

RE: Walter Hughes
I don;t think this is who you are looking for because this Walter Hughes died at age 12. I will keep looking. Walter S. Hughes was the third child of James W. and Mary Elizabeth Courtney Hughes. Walter was born 19 Oct 1876. In 1880 Walter was living with his parents, older brother John, 8, older sister, Julia L., 6, and younger sister, Alice, 1, and his maternal grandmother, Mary Askew Courtney, 63, in Rockdale County, Georgia. Walter died 05 Mar 1889 at the age of twelve. He is buried in the Hughes plot in Cool Springs Cemetery, Bouldercrest Rd., Atlanta, GA.

St Phillips church

I saw your post to Saratoga. I know how hard it is to go so far back.
I found this book only a couple of days ago. I'm looking into the "old Charles Town" time era. (Addison family) This book is the Register of St Philips Parish of Charles Town 1720-1758. ( I took just a quick look at Index. found, Anthony, Benj. Ann. on page 151 Anthony married Ann Brandford March 13,1721. but there is MORE. I hop this links works if not google it.

RE: Circular Congregational Church Burying Ground:
I'll keep an eye out for Hughes on my travels. The Mathew's family you speak about is probably correctly spelled Mathewes. The progenitor of this family was Anthony Matthewes who came from London and died in Charleston in 1735. He's buried at the Circular Church. After awhile the second "T" in Matthewes was dropped off. I guess it got too confusing even for them. There was a son George in this family who married Mary Saltus. Good luck in your research. I looked for Hughes in all my books and did not find him. Another needle in the haystack.
