Thank You!
John Davis is my 3rd great grandfather. I'm descended from, in order- his son John C. Davis, then Cora Belle Davis Martin Frisbee, Veda Mae Martin Mead, and last, but not least, my mother Anita Carol Mead Babcock.
I just want to thank everyone who has contributed information on the Davis family. I researched my father's line back to the Massachusetts Bay Colony without much trouble. Those prim New England and Northerner's keep pretty good records.
The southern side of my family is proving more difficult. I appreciate the information that I've found here more than I can express. We don't have many family pictures/records from before 1960, or so, because my grandparent's (Veda and Dennis Mead) house burned down, and was a complete loss.

Again, thank you for your work on here.

Isaac House
Betty, I couldn't get into your private e-mail so this will be long. I am taking about Isaac #80262202 and his wife, Adeline #80261934. Marilyn went to click in the FindaGrave site for them in our tree and it comes up with the cemetery in Douglas County. She made a comment for Isaac.
Information from Irene House Peveler: "Sometime between 1880 and 1900 Nancy Adeline died. In 1903 Isaac sold his homestead and moved to Ozark County, MO, to live with his son, Joseph F House. By 1910 Isaac had died and his body was brought back to Texas County in a buckboard wagon by his son, Joseph F and his son-in-law, Joe Gillette, with his son Moses and his grandson Walter House riding on horseback. As per Raymond M House of Willow Springs, MO, they left about 4 P.M. one day and buried Isaac just before dark the next day, the weather being very cold at the time. Both Isaac and Nancy Adeline House were buried in unmarked graves in the Cold Springs Cemetery east of Arroll on Highway W."
We believe the Cold Springs Cemetery they are buried at is in Texas County, the other cemetery was started after his death.

Maude #74261027
Betty, I made a Find A Grave site for Maude's mother. Would you mind linking her to it? Cordelia Margaret House East is #130561994. I put a young picture of Maude that we had on her site. Maude was one of dad's favorite cousins. Thanks

Ana Mead Jones duplicate
Hi Betty!

I was comparing the names of the siblings for this Ana Mead Jones and she is the same person as Joanna Frances Mead Jones, wife of William Thomas Jones, who has another page from this cemetery on Find-A-Grave hosted by Linda, who is also a descendant.

I left her a message, but the two of you will have to talk to figure out how to consolidate so there is one. She is probably a descendant of daughter Amanda.

Tom House, my grandfather
Betty, forgot to mention that Thomas Franklin House was my grandfather. He died in a home near where I am living now a month before I was born.
