Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was given a legacy. My maternal grandmother Chloe Woods Underwood was an accomplished genealogist and passed much of her line on as well as her husband's to the grandchildren. I have added to this information with the lines of my father Frederick, and wife Mary Fanucchi. While tackling this amateur endeavor, I have taken to photographing many of the families' gravestones, and amassing a great many personal photos of the those individuals. Most of my submissions to this site will have some ties to our various extended family lines.

On a personal note; I am married to Mary Catherine Fanucchi, and we have twin sons Andrew Frederick and Thomas John. We live in San Jose, California, although Mary was born in Stockton and I in Pomona, both in California.

The Reverend
Clyde Calvin/Kirtland Calvin
Kirtland Calvin was my great grandfather. His mother is listed as Louise Bohney. Father listed as unknown on Death cert. I see a Bohney associated w/ Clyde also. We understood that a pastor told Kirt's mother to leave her husband because he "would not comply." Do you know who the mysterious Mr. Calvin was?

Ed, I think its great what your doing. I started tracing my family history 35 years ago. I was born in Montana and wanted to know where my family came from. I started talking to my grandparents and went from there. Back then it was a lot of foot work. Then came the military. My husband was shipped to Kansas and the N.C, so we all packed up and went. Here in N.C came the internet and the home pc. Then came my Oh MY GOD moment !! He I was sitting 2 hours from a cemetery where many family members lay to include 3 lines of direct grandparents !! Yes, That would be Abbotts Creek !! When I first went back in the late 80's the minster of the church gave me the history of the lower cemetery and also the records so that I could make a copy and then return the original, and I did just that. Sadly, the last time I went down there some of the stones I could no longer read so now I need to get new markers. I found them by reading the stones. I need to make sure that in 200 more years those stones can still be read by future generations searching. Once you get the genealogy you cant get rid of it for sure !!

I left and edit for date of death. Vermilion Monthly Meeting in Vermilion County, Illinois and Old Hopewell Friends Cemetery online transcription both give date as 28 Apr 1854 - instead of 25 Apr 1854.

Thank you for posting the memorial!

RE: Burlingame Cemetery
I have no idea where Burlingame Cemetery is, as I never have been to Ohio, and live in New Mexico. I got this data from a cemetery book.

W.C. Calvert
Hi Ed,

Thanks for the update and family connections.

I found a biography on William C. Calvert online. Google "History of Vigo County, Indiana" by Henry C. Bradsby, published 1891.
There are several errors, but the general life events are correct. Where he ever concluded that the Cromwells and Calverts were "German" i'll never know......
Do you have any idea where Robert Calvert, the father originated from? I've always thought he descended from the Irish Quakers of Chester/Lancaster counties in Pa., but have no proofs.

Martha Hill (7790439)

Martha Hill is my 3rd Great Grandmother . . . my question is where did you find Huffman as a maiden name??

Her father was William Hill, B:1770, VA, D: 09 Oct 1813, War of 1812 . . . interned at Put-in-Bay on Lake Erie

Her mother was Rebecca Miles B: 1736, VA, D: 18 Mar 1783, buried at Leonardstown , MD

Have seen on Ancestry with Huffman as maiden name, but nothing to verify/source it.

My GR- Grandfather was Isaac Logan Woods, son of Artimecial (Hill) Curry . . . he is listed in the Curry Family Bible . . .

Born Mercer Co., KY moved north to Johnson Co., IN and then to Tipton Co., IN and finally settled in Stafford, Stafford Co, KS

During Depression many moved on to California . . .

The Hill and Curry Families are very well documented, but no mention of her maiden name or husband . . .the same is true for Artimecia Hill's son Isaac Woods . . . still a mystery . . .

Was hoping maybe you had seen something that would point to her husband or father of Artimecia and Cyrena . . . also a mystery . . .

Best to you, and you all do a great job . . . wonderful help in finding family members and info on them . . .
