I will be happy to transfer a memorial to a relative (most of the time, your husband's great aunt may be an issue, or your 6th greatgrandmother who you share with 645 other descendents). I also give you permission to use any photos I take for other geneological purposes, such as posting on ancestry.com, etc. You do not have permission, however, to use it on a duplicate entry that you made.
Just a note on photos: Pictures taken at the National Cemetery were taken during overcast days, which works better with my camera. Also, if you want to see a larger picture, click on the Photos tab at the memorial and you can read the enlarged one.
As another side note about photos, I took many photos straight on and found my reflection in many of them. I had to delete those and retake them. This is true for black, grey and sometimes red stones. That is why I take photos from an angle. Also, the pictures uploaded have to be 750 KB or less (600 x 800), so they are small. I don't clean the stones.

Can I add an obituary to my interment listing?
You should not copy obituary notices from newspapers to an individual's memorial record unless you have permission from the newspaper to do so or you are the author of the obituary. Some obituaries that were published in 1922 or earlier are now in the public domain. In general, obituaries in newspapers are submitted by the family with assistance from the funeral home. If the obituary is added to the memorial record, it should list the newspaper and date the obit was printed for example "Published in the Hattiesburg American, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Internet Edition, April 11, 2007". Please do not include the names of living or surviving relatives in the biography, unless you have their permission. If you do not have permission to copy an obituary to a memorial, you may put a note stating the name of the newspaper and the date the obituary was published.
Please do NOT add photographs from obituary notices (unless you, personally took the photo), as they are protected by copyright law. Find A Grave reserves the right to remove obituary notices and photographs from memorial records. Similarly, you may NOT scan an obituary and add it as a photograph to a memorial record.
Obituaries for "famous" individuals are usually written by newspaper staff and can not be posted to Find A Grave as the newspaper company owns that copyright.
Please do not include website addresses that may be listed in the obituary as they usually expire within a year after the obituary is printed.

|holly kennedy||Hi Becky|
I was following some of the genealogy for our family and I think you might have forgotten two of Nana's siblings. Her sister Aunt Sara from Latrobe married to uncle Jerry Gerard and "baby Marie" as Nana called her. She died in infancy from spinal meningitis.
I cant think of Aunt Sara's middle name. I know my Mother knows. I'll ask her or Aunt Jeanne. They may know Marie's middle name as well.

Hi Rebecca - Daniel Lange's mother was Delores M. Parks. After his parents divorced, both remarried and I don't know what his Mother's last name is now. But she was born in California in 1927. Thanks. Tina

Thank you so much for taking a picture of my sister in law's resting place. I was adding her husband memorial to the cemetery (he just passed suddenly)and saw that you were so kind to add Linda also. I'm hoping you won't mind adding the picture you took of Linda's grave stone to the memorial I had created in 2010.
48025825 I would be so grateful! Thank you for all you do!
|Dorothy K||James Blessman's grave|
Thank you for posting a photo of James Blessman's headstone. I went to Newtown Cemetary to look for it but I didn't have a map indicating where the sections were. Since I couldn't find the grave, it was nice to see his headstone online.
James was my first cousin and my Godfather.
