My activities on Find A Grave are a reflection of my interest in genealogy and data manipulation. Some of my entries are a result of my genealogy research. Most are a result of me converting information from another source (primarily online newspaper obituaries).|
CORRECTIONS AND TRANSFERS
I welcome corrections as well as transfer requests. With the exception of my direct ancestors, I am happy to transfer memorials to others who are more closely related.
Per FAG's policy on obits, I do not accept obits as a biography without proper permission.
Individuals may use my photographs without explicit permission if they follow the following guidelines:
1) Pictures may not be used for commercial purposes
2) I am given credit for the photo
3) If the photo is used on a web site, there is a link to my web site (www.markwing.com)
ANCESTRY.COM USERS - If you use my photo on Ancestry.com without proper photo credit, I will have it removed.

|Michael Stanley Klimczak||RE: Regarding obits|
As long as you cite where the obituary was obtained from, then yes, you can place it on memorials. It would be the same thing as if you wrote a paper and cited your source in an academic journal. Same concept.
|Michael Stanley Klimczak||Regarding obits|
Hi there. I read your bio, and noticed your comments regarding obits. Most obituaries are not copyrighted do to the fact they are written by the family and not the newspaper, newspapers just print it. If the obituaries do not show a name under them with the person who wrote it, that means it was written by the family, so it is not copyrighted and it is public info. This Info is from Legal Genealogist web site.

|Janet Reasoner||Vienna Lasher & Lysander Pike|
I believe I've talked to you before and I want to thank you for your work on Find a Grave. I've been working on adding and linking the Sebastian Lasher family together on Find A Grave for the last few years.
Vienna Lasher has been a mystery to me. Although I don't have proof I think I may have figured her out and as a direct descendent I know you are interested. Do you have any idea where the Pike graves are located? Because they could help with Vienna's dates.
Due to the similarity of the name and DOB I now think Vienna was Wyanna Lasher, daughter of Peter P Lasher and Almira Snyder Find A Grave 60226920 & 75028918. She is listed in Lasher Genealogy and Lasher Lineage with a DOB of 28 Sep 1829 and Baptism of 27 Jun 1830
Let me know what you think. I look forward to hearing from you.
