You added a flower to his memorial stating that he was born in 1851, but I believe that he was the man named Benjamin Heath who was born ca. 1812, and who wrote his will in Bartow County in 1895. FYI, Jesse Mercer Rogers or Rodgers (they keep going back and forth or spelling)shows a son on the 1870 Federal Census for Alabama, Coosa Co, Rockford Beat, named W.B., who has been identified as "William Bailam" born 22 Jun 1855, died 28 Feb 1937 in Brown Co, Texas.

Bless Your Heart. Thank you so much for sending that link for the postcard. Yes he was my gr grandfather. And the small grave just behind to the right is his infant son Frank Deason who died 5 years before. I'll actually be traveling back to that cemetery in May and will see who else is in the picture.
It sure looks different back then than now, with the bricks surrounding the graves and no grass. I put a bid on the card, we'll see. Thank you again for thinking of me.
