Whiting Maine Village Cemetery entries have been checked against meticulous research by the late Rebecca Hobart, Dennysville, Maine historian. Some inscriptions have become more difficult to read since her initial recording. I cannot find some stones she recorded. Supplemental data is from surrounding town records, particularly Townsend, Vital Records of Lubec Prior to 1892, and Forslund, History of Whiting, Maine. Similarly, Split Hill records were checked against transcriptions of Bernard Ross; Mr Ross also extensively documented the Lubec Cemetery.

The mistakes are mine; thank you for bringing them to my attention.

Sally Bell Selwood
Hi,
I noticed that Sandra's page for Sally has the edit tab accessible so I guess you could add your photos to it. I would think that she would appreciate the additional information. [I'm sure Sally would]

As far as I know, Sally is not a relative, altho I have not looked at "her people". It is however a small world; I was born on her birthday, only 4 years later. And I do have a cousin named Pamela Selwood, so who knows.

Keep up the good work!

Sally Bell Selwood
Hello Seamus,
I am editing my Selwood family [mostly in Maine] and noticed your entry for Sally Bell Selwood. There is an additional entry FIG# 42572683 created by "Sandra" that has a picture of her but does not have any cemetery information. Maybe these two entries could be combined.

No, Sally is not a relative of mine.

Sean, I notice both birth and death dates are off significantly from what was inputted and those on the headstone. Have you noticed that? Which are correct?

You're welcome.

I'm not sure what that poisoning is either, but like you say, it can't be good.

Mr. Morrison,
My name is Jerry Phelps and I am looking for William Phelps my 4th great grandfather who was married to Sarah Holloway or Sally Holloway and after Sarah passed married Anna Mahar Kelley widow of William Kelley. You have her buried in the Benjamin Kelley cemetery in Trescott, I was wondering if you might know where William Phelps is buried? I believe they died within two days of on another.
If you could help I am extemely grateful
