I was born in Jersey City, NJ and lived there for the first seventeen years of my life. The only grave I ever visited was my grandfather; he died in 1960. I didn't know that, within view of his grave, just accross the street, was the unmarked grave of my older brother. The Viet Nam War, and my part as a medic from age 17, put me in contact with many more graves and the people who would visit them. |
I am now a retired Police Officer living in Fairborn, Ohio. I have been an Evidence Tech (now called CSI), Forensic Photographer and Death Investigator during my career and I suppose I'm still doing those things now - as a hobby.
Any 'grave photographs' I have taken are public domain; copy them and use them as you please.
*TRANSFERS: Most of the memorials that I have posted are not related to me, they are projects that I have taken-on. I believe that ANY relative should be able to take over management of these graves. Just ask me. ***Go to the 'edit' tab on the memorial; select 'Suggest any other correction or addition' and type Transfer. I will be sent the link with your member ID.

|Jeff Gilbert||Bumpus Jones grave Cedarville|
I went looking for this grave but couldn't find it. Do you recall what part of North Cemetery it's in. Also, is it low to the ground or is it taller. Hard to tell from photo. I looked at ones low to the ground, but looking at your photo again I'm wondering if it's taller than I thought.

1st of all, thank you for all you are doing!
It was kinda of a fluke, I just clicked on this memorial & the name was different. John Henry Linebaugh married Viola C. Harner in 11 Dec 1902 (marriage source). She died in 1914 according to Family Search. He married Ada Miller 22 Nov 1916 (marriage source). One person in FS posted a death in Byron Cemetery in 1978. I can look further into it, I just haven't got there yet.
Thanks so much! Lori Gray

|As Time Goes By||Transfer of Jewell Matthews|
Thank you SO VERY much for transfer of my Aunt Jewell's memorial to me today. I appreciate all the work you do on FindAGrave. And I also commend you a bunch for having the right attitude in sharing those memorials with family members. So many folks seem to take this as a religion and you must jump through hoops to have them transferred. If they are not related in the least I am not sure I understand the absolute STRICTNESS of Find A Grave guidelines as absolute "rules". Who better to manage them than someone related by blood and/or grew up with them as family? One day it will not matter as we will all be gone. Again thanks SO much. ASGB46520230
