Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired educator who just recently began searching for my families history. I am interested in finding out as much as possible so that I may get it recorded for my grandchildren. Hopefully, they will pass their heritage along to future generations. I have found a lot of info at ancestry on most of my family. However, there is a lot more to learn. Since I became a photo volunteer at FindAGrave, I have been visiting cemeteries and taking photos for others who live a distance away. This has also been done for me. I have photos of family that I could not have obtained without the help of other volunteers. I have teamed up with 2 other Find-a-gravers, Dottie Gilder and WD and the three of us work together to get as much information as we can for all the cemeteries in Tattnall Co. Genealogy is fascinating and there is so much history to be learned.

Jim Hinson
He was Folkston in the late fifties and early sixties. He organized and ran Okeefenokee Speedway (formerly known as Waycross Speedway) out on the Brunswick Highway just east of the intersection of US 1 and the Brunswick Highway. I see were the Hinson's have a family marker and wondered if he was apart of that family.

I found a newspaper article that incorrectly listed James as KIA in the Atlanta Constitution Dec 1918. His parents are listed as Mrs. Leo Thompson.
