I've been diggin' up bones off-and-on for about 20 years. Sadly, I started after all parents and grandparents were gone. A voyage of self discovery I suppose ...|

|Corine Martin||Peter Dingman|
Was wondering if you have heard anything about Peter Dingman's tombstone?
I was also wondering if you might can give me some pointers on how to get a tombstone for my nephew. His next of kin would be one of his aunts as his mother, grandmother and are deceased. He never married and had any children. He was in the Army.

I would suggest your man is Alfred Clark Hawley 1838 - 1911, buried at Arlington, memorial 49200454. I found him in a MN Civil War roster with his residence in Chatfield, Ohio. I believe his uncle lived in Chatfield, MN. A C Hawley enlisted at Winona, which makes sense. Please continue sharing anything you find on him, as he is not clearly identified by his family. thawley444@Q.com Trudy Hawley in Minnesota

Sorry the transfer took so long!
|Bill & Mary Windsor||RE: Incorrect photo.|
Completed as requested. Not sure how that photo ended up there. I guess it was labeled incorrectly when I saved it to my computer.

Just a friendly note that I fulfilled your photo request today for Clara Norberg.
|G Shewan||MG Augustus Blocksom|
I received a message today from the Arlington National Cemetery admin office. They confirmed that MG Blocksom's last name is misspelled on his marker and that they have ordered a new one to replace it.
Thank you for bringing the error to my attention. Together, we corrected an error that was 83 years old.

|G Shewan||MG Augustus Blocksom/Blockson|
Thank you for your message about MG Augustus Blocsom/Blockson. I was unaware of the possible misspelling until you pointed out the USARPAC and ArlingtonCemetery.net pages. I have sent an email message to Arlington National Cemetery asking if they can check into this and determine what the proper spelling of the General's last name is.
