|I have been interested in family history since 1978 and have enjoyed doing family research since that time. I love this website and have been adding memorials for our family. I hope, if you view any of my memorials you will contact me so I can share what ever information I might have. Some of my family memorials I have listed, not knowing the cemetery, in hopes someone who sees them may be able to tell me. I also have been adding memeorials for my daughter's in-laws family and some from the local cemeteries. So either way, I can possibly tell you something about a number of my memorials. I welcome your questions, comments, corrections etc. I have met some really nice and helpfull people through Find A Grave. It is my most sincere desire to help someone add new data to their research so plese feel free to contact me.|

It is so nice to "meet" a relative! I have a tremendous amount of information to add to Elizabeth Hicks memorial including photos an location of her grave. It is so much easier for me to add than to upload an having to type explainations for everything. Does Find a Grave allow 2 people to "manage' at the same time? In case you want to know who I am, My Grandmother was Malesie Hicks Edwards, Daughter of Canada Hicks.

|Jonathan Reeves||Jane Cunningham|
Curious what your source is for Jane being a cousin to her husband Joseph Cunningham?
There was a Joseph and Jane Cunningham at the sale of estate for Moses Reeves in Kershaw Co., SC 1797 and we think that Jane was his daughter. I realize though there were several Joseph Cunninghams in the area.
|Vic Piper||Phoebe Sorrell Nickell Adams|
I am sorry but I have no memory of this obituary, and can not locate said entry! LOL..
In any event I do have a direct ancestor to the Nickell's family out of Greenbriar Co. West Virginia and Floyd/Morgan Co. Kentucky.....
I am sure you know that the term inst. is seen many times in the newspapers of the nineteenth century. I think because people were late getting to read them, and I would say the following is an apt description as I could come up with.
"inst.", abbreviation for instante mense, meaning a date of the current month, such as "the 5th inst."

The side markers had Father & Mother carved on the top of the arch. There was no other information.

|Howard (Kip) Carter||You FAG Memorial# 107004816 for Lucille Pierce Patterson|
I hope you do not mind my submitting edits directly on You Find A Grave Memorial# 107004816 for Lucille Pierce Patterson. I have added to your Photos a copy of her original birth certificate. Her full birth name was listed as Mary Lucile Pierce. I realize her middle name is spelled different on her birth certificate; however often that is the case when someone other than the mother or father fills in the blanks. I believe the "two l's" are correct. I will probably make a few more edits in the future; however if this is a problem for you, please let me know. My telephone number is (803) 772-2162 in Columbia, South Carolina and you can find all other info on me at my Contributor's page. My Find A Grave Contributor number is #48482030. Howard (Kip) Carter
Thank you so much for the photo on Nancy Sutphin. Keep up the great work. Much appreciated!!

I would be pleased if you would go to my Bio and visit my parents' memorials by clicking on their links.
|Joyce Wilson Harsson||George CATHEY #37299356|
Thank you for George Cathey's memorial. I have been searching for records linking him to his father, Alexander. There is no find a grave memorial for Alexander, a Revolutionary Patriot.
Maybe this is a long shot, but I thought I would ask if you have any furter info. George's widow is buried here in my hometown, Jackson, TN. Mary B. (Watson) Cathey #26311774.
George is my 3rd great grandfather.
