|Thanks to my grandmother, I have always been a graver, starting out at an early age. I have an intense passion for American History, Aviation & Nasa, (Especially of the 60s and 70s). Needless to say I am also a huge sports fan. GO DAWGS!! My graving forte is Arlington National Cemetery, which is in my opinion the greatest history lesson in the United States. There is nothing quite like the atmosphere at ANC. I always cherish my visits there. |

|Allan Wenzel||DESMOND DOSS MEMORIAL|
It might be added that the Mel Gibson directed movie Hacksaw Ridge (2016) is about Doss's actions that earned him the Medal of Honor. And, that the Medal of Honor is not just the highest honor given to our Armed Forces, it is the HIGHEST honor period in the United States.
|Martin Burrell||John Elisha Phelps FAG 24146283|
John Elisha Phelps' parent's John Smith Phelps [the only son and heir to his father's estate in Connecticut.] and his wife Mary Whitney of Maine. later moved to Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo, California for health reasons and to leave Missouri's political life. Thus other family members were drawn to the area. Such as son, John Smith Phelps and his wife who later died in the county.
|Jeff Thomson||General John C C Sanders|
Thank you for the well earned biography to the General. It is comforting to know his service has not been undocumented. His dedication will never be forgotten by his family.
|Cherie Lynn||Capt Khan|
Thank you for making his memorial. Blessings
|Mark Swanson||General Theodore Schwan, 1841-1826|
There is additional information about Theodore Schwan. He was born 9 July 1841 and baptized 13 July 1841 in Wulsdorf, then part of the Kingdom of Hannover, now a neighborhood in the city of Bremerhaven, state of Bremen, Germany. His father was the Rev. Georg Heinrich Christian Schwan and his mother was Dorette Schwan, born Polemann. His half-brother was Rev. Heinrich Christian Schwan, 1819-1905, a president of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod and a pastor in Cleveland, Ohio.

(Grandson of Heinrich Friedrich Julius Schwan of Bremen, Germany)
I have traversed the grounds of ANC over the years while in the MDW off and on since early 1960s; the feeling one consumes while walking those hollowed grounds is beyond words. The most beautiful place in the world. . . . I am wondering in that I were always under the impression that our Constance Bennett Coulter passed away at Fort Dix, NJ, not New York? Have a great day. . . . Leelem.
|David E Craig||Gen. Manning Ferguson Force|
Gen Manning Ferguson Force is in my family tree, 5th cousin 4X removed. Susan Force married Moses Marsh Craig my 3X grandfather. In your research on Gen. Manning F. Force was there any reference to 9 inch dagger/dirk/boot knife? This dagger has been passed down the family and I am trying to put this dagger ca. 1800-1825 in one of my relatives hand. Any additional information about Gen. Force and his personal effect would be a great help to me. Thank you for your time. Blessing, Rev. David E Craig, Retired.

It says he married twice, but someone added a third wife Celestine Paradis born in 1832 died 1905. This does not make sense.
