I'm not sure what differences you are speaking of about this memorial. Refresh my memory, pls.

The only note I have for him is that he was in Freeman's Regiment, Missouri Cavalry. This link tells about that unit. https://www.nps.gov/civilwar/search-battle-units-detail.htm?battleUnitCode=CMOFREERC
Hope this helps a little.

FYI - Here's the link to obituary for Forrest Cammack, the youngest child of John & Vista. It clearly states John's middle name as Lewalling.
Hope this helps - D

Thank you for sharing the marriage record for John & Vista which shows his middle name as Lewellyn. There are two other sources for his middle name spelled Lewalling, WWI & WWII Draft registration cards. The WWII card has his actual signature only using his middle initial but he does certify the information given as accurate. Whereas neither the marriage record nor the WWI draft registration card have live signatures.
With all this said, I am changing the middle name back to just his initial with an explanation of the variations in the records for his middle name. Hopefully this will satisfy everyone.

Source is Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy, vol. 4, page 1260.
However, in reviewing my data on the Gidley family, I find it is his wife Mary who is buried there in Lewisburg, not Isaac. Isaac went from the Alum Creek Mtg. to Goshen Mtg., OH in 1847, then after the death of Mary, his wife, he and his two surviving daughters went to Bangor Mtg. in Iowa and finally to Springwater Mtg., IA. He died in 1874 in Winniesheik county, Iowa. All are sources found in Quaker Records.
I have the Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy Vol. 4; and the page
"GIDLEY, Isaac M.
----, --, -- Isaac M. m. Mary ----- Died 1855, 4, ---- (APR 1855)" is on page 1279. I see the "buried Lewisburg" but didn't realize that the notation was for wife Mary, and thought it was for Isaac. No, I am not related to Isaac of Mary. I have visited the Friends (Quaker) Cemetery in North Lewiburg many times because my own 3rd great-grandfather, Harmon Limes, is buried there. I have revised the memorial to be for Mary, and update my own records as well.

Hi, I got your edit for a birth date and location for Isaac Gidley buried at the Friends Cemetery in North Lewisburg, Champaign County, Ohio. Please share what your source is for the birth date and location so I can add that to his memorial? Thank you.
I deleted mine but had added the picture to the other one. I am not related, but my wife and have taken all the pictures at Oakland and are slowly getting them on. We ended up added almost 6000 memorial and so far have put on about 4000 pictures. Hope to finish up my spring but it is slow going. Have a Blessed and Merry Christmas, David and Susan Sharp
