|Rebecca Laird||Update and Question about the three Chases listed in the Kinderhook Reformed Cemetery|
I can update some information about William H Chase and Cornelia Gardenier Chase listed as buried in Kinderhook Reformed Cemetery. William H Chase is my ggg-grandfather and my Brick Wall, and Cornelia Gardenier Chase is my ggg-grandmother.
And I also have two questions about the listing for these Chases in the Kinderhook Reformed Cemetery.
1) How did these Chases come to be listed in the Kinderhook Reformed Cemetery? For example, had they purchased plots there, then were not buried there after all?
2) I also wonder about the person named William Holden Chase listed as buried there. Is he related to (or even identical with) William H Chase? "Holden" is a later family name, so that may explain where it comes from.
To update the burial information about William H Chase and Cornelia Gardenier Chase:
This William H Chase is buried in Wood National Cemetery in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. He died 11 July 1902, a resident of the National Home for Disabled Veteran Soldiers in Milwaukee when he died. There are a number of documents relating to his residence, illness and death, burial and veteran status, associated with his burial in Wood National Cemetery.
This is the URL for his burial there:
Cornelia Gardenier Chase is buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Valatie, Columbia County. I visited her grave and took pictures of it.
The URL for this grave is:
Since someone was wondering about these two individuals' graves in Kinderhook, I hope this proves helpful.
My Great Grandfather is Gilbert D. Meyer who married Teressa Wendling. Gilbert W. Meyer is my Grandfather. I was looking for the grave site of Gilbert D. and came across your name at the bottom. How are we related?

I noticed you've had a tombstone request for William Bartelt Sr. out there since 6/2009. I have a couple of questions. 1) Are the dates correct for William Sr.? He'd only be 11 yrs. old. 2) Are you sure he was living with a woman that he didn't marry? William Bartelt's death certificate is available through the Wisconsin Historical Society for $15. It may provide more information on him. And may provide burial location as well. I would like to fulfill this request for you, but it's my understanding that the cemetery he is supposedly buried at is a rather difficult one to walk the grounds. It's more like a prairie.

I didn't find the male Bowman you are looking for in this cemetery but I found and just posted all the Bowman's in a cemetery across the street, Midland Cemetery, Westborough, Worcester, MA. This cemetery didn't open until 1810 though. Find A Grave is approving one that I listed, Martha L Bowman, for some reason. I hope they list it.
I hope this helps.

I am not sure just what you want. Can you clarify? At one time I had offered to transfer the pages of Emil Lau ad Jennie Gosz. I will still be glad to do so. I wasn't sure what you meant by sending photos. Thanks Judy
ps, that yahoo account didn't go through

Went to the cemetery today in the search of Mary Wendling's monument. None is to be had. I read your note that John would not have a grave marker, but as it stands, the area that they should be in only had but a handful of grave markers, and at that, they weren't legible. So, to take a picture of where they "should" be wouldn't really make a difference. It was a rather baron area of the cemetery. Sorry this request was not filled. Regards, Nadeen

Can I use your picture of Old Yard Center Cemetery for my family tree (Alden/Baker) at Ancestry.com ? I would write this with the photo.Photo of Old Yard Center Cemetery taken by: J.Wendling 10/18/2006 and posted at the Find A Grave website. Thank you. Carole Alden
