Bio and Links
Bio Photo Retiring in 2008 I delved into our family history on Ancestry.com, begun in 2001. This led me to Find A Grave - and even more relatives.

I'm a first-generation American who spent much of my first 10 years in Canada. Mum was 100% Irish, a first-generation Canadian born in Montreal with parents arriving from Derry City in 1905 and 1887.

Dad was a second generation Canadian born in Scarboro Junction outside Toronto. He was 50% Irish, 25% Scottish and 25% English. His maternal line arrived from Co Longford, Ireland (1824) and England (c1830). His paternal line is from Co Derry (1847) and Scotland (1844).

I am only managing records that have some connection to our family but if you wish to take over a memorial of your family member, please do not hesitate to contact me through the message board.

Jarrell at Kincardine
Thank you so much! Could you add the same photo to their daughter Sarah Elizabeth Jarrell Allen #149251703?

Greatly appreciated.

Fay

James Congdon 1765-1858
Hello Fay: I found an old message from you (May 1, 2015) that I don't think I even answered because I didn't have access to my Congdon family file because of my move. This James Congdon family is not in my family tree. His father was James 1847-1803, RI, whose father was John Congdon 1714-1780, RI, then James Congdon 1686 and then back to Benjamin Congdon (according to family trees on ancestry.com). My line also starts with Benjamin but goes down a different line. I'm sure you know that James, and son James, and their families are buried in Goodier Cemetery in Cedar Lake, Herkimer, NY. If not, check their memorials on Find A Grave. I hope some of this information is helpful. Happy belated New Year! Regards...

I have added a lot of photos - what is the location of this cemetery and what is your connection to it?

RE: Carl and Hart at Royal Oak
Some yes, some no. Royal Oak has a number of interments for ashes. In ground, columbaria niches, and a Mausoleum. They let me know if the ashes are interred there. They also have a special area for scattering of ashes of people who have no friends or relatives to claim them. This area is not open to the public. Other ashes after cremation are simply taken home by the family.

RE: Carl and Hart at Royal Oak
On the bccfa site, usually, if someone is interred there, the section they are in is listed. If there is just a burial permit next to their name usually they were only cremated, or the permit was not used for some reason. Was that the request for Dr. Edward Charles Hart? He only has burial permit after his name. I only saw Kate Carl on the site and she had burial permit only by her name. If you want, I can forward you the email I got from Royal Oak, it will show you how they respond to my requests.

Hawley Family
Eliza and Adelaide Flindall are 5th cousins 3x removed, if you go back far enough on the Hawley side you will find Jehiel Hawley, married Sarah Dunning. Sarah's brother is Kathy's 6th great grandfather.

Hawley Family
Doing a bit of genealogy updating on my wife's side of the family. Keep running into you on either Ancestry or findagrave. Are you by chance part of the Hawley family originally from Bath, Lennox and Addington Co, Ontario?
