Bio Photo Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

If anyone has an addition or correction to anything I have posted please contact me and I will quickly correct it. I am more than happy to turn over ownership to anyone who requests it. AND PLEASE IF YOU SEE THAT I HAVE ENTERED A NAME TWICE, PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT IT. It is easy to make a duplicate without realizing it.

Also -- another FindAGrave contributor wrote this... I think it says it all:

Please note: This is NOT a numbers game, Nor a "who has who" game here. Some of us are serious about getting names & photos of headstones that are not going to be around and making memorial pages. That is what this is about, making/recording that person lived and died. Like many, I spend long, long hours either in a cemetery, or adding memorial pages to I would love to see some of the headstones of family members that were in the 1700 & 1800 of my family, but that isn't going to happen as many are gone.

It doesn't matter who has the memorial page, the important thing is that someone cared enough to make a memorial page to honor that person and that is what is all about. Honoring the deceased, NOT who has what memorial or how many that they have. Thanks!

Fabulous Holiday to You and Your Family
I see you are still very hard at work. Just wanted to thank you for taking such good care of my family's memorials. I did make some edits but it was info you could not have known.

Just wanted to let you know how much you are appreciated and to wish you and your family a fabulous holiday season.

I might need to use some of the gravestone photos in the future.

Thanks again. Best to you always.

Eugene LeBaron - Judd Cemetery
I am researching the LeBaron family and have a question for you. Do you think it is possible that the grave marker for Eugene LeBaron 1836-1874 who was the son of Uriah could be a memorial only? The date of death on your description reads 1871 but the stone reads 1874. There is a Eugene LeBaron buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland, California. I am wondering if he is the son of Uriah. I have seen this before where families will erect a stone in memory of a loved one who is buried elsewhere. Many thanks.
