I am not related to any of the people that I have entered. If you find a relative or a personal friend on my list and want a transfer, just ask.|
Corrections are welcomed! If you see an error on any I've done, please let me know, I'll fix it immediately.
Anyone is welcome to use my headstone photos, no credit is required. I don't own the headstones, so I have no rights to it! If some of my photos are not too good, it's because my original intention was just to transfer the headstone info to an Allegheny County, PA cemetery listing website. That website is no longer updating information so I am now putting the information and photos on findagrave. Sorry if it's a bad photo, hopefully someone else will come along and post a better one. If you want me to remove my photo and make a request for another one on findagrave, just let me know. Glad to oblige!
Over the past several years, I have photographed ALL of the headstones in TWENTY cemeteries in my area. I transcribed what was on the headstones and those lists were put online. Unauthorized persons used my lists, from all of MY hard work and put the names on findagrave, just to build up their numbers. I am now trying to put those headstone photos on findagrave, but it is a very long, slow process. I think the very least those unauthorized people could do is accept the information and edits I want to add to those memorials! You know who you are!
Building up numbers is NOT the reason for findagrave. We are all volunteers trying to help families find their ancestors and loved ones.
Findagrave Pet Peeve!
People who have their messages disabled and no email listed. This shouldn't be allowed.
Also, people who follow the guidelines to the letter. Findagrave would be a boring website if only names are listed, without their story or photo. How many people actually have a photograph that they personally took of the person? If I put a photo of my great-grandparents on findagrave, it's obvious that I did not take the photo myself, but according to the guidelines I wouldn't be permitted to add the photo. Findagrave knows this and I'm sure their "guidelines" are for their own protection and they wink at people who "break" the rules because they know the site would not have much traffic otherwise. My suggestion to the "strict guideline followers" - Lighten up!
I really hate to be an "obituary chaser" but when I see memorials added that have nothing of interest added to them from the obits, it makes me be one.
Findagrave will REALLY be a dead website if everyone follows every single rule to the letter.

My pleasure, Mary. Also added photos to the memorials for his parents, Joseph and Agnes Lewandoski whose markers were beside Ricky's.

Thank you so much for this and all you do! Joanne

When I did the edit, I did not change the birth year because of the date on the gravestone. However, his marriage license of 27 Sep 1892 has a birth date of 31 Dec 1867, not 1868. Perhaps make a note of that difference? Thank you so much for the offer, no need to transfer him--unless you want any future inquiries to come to me for clarification.

Yes, he was so young--the birth date on his marriage license is 31 Dec 1867. Thank you for posting him.

You have added a picture to this memorial of the marker for Eugene F. Conniff. However, the memorial is for his father - Eugene A. Conniff. Only you can delete this photo from the memorial. I think that it would be a good idea for you to delete this one.

Thanks for taking the time to fulfill my request. Much appreciated. Thanks

Thank you .
I saw the writing but I am confused as to where Walter and Josephine are buried . I am not sure that I read the whole inscription , and understand it . Are you saying that this headstone only marks Josephine's burial , but is also a Memorial to Walter ?

Thank you for trying to find Albert Byers headstone at Mt. Olivet. I'm guessing there just wasn't a stone.
|Lori||RE: Sarah A. Cousins McGinnis|
How very kind of you, thank you.
I hope to visit the gravesite of my 2x Great Grandparent's Peter and Sarah McGinnis in the future. I recall my Grandmother telling me what she knew of the fire, and then a few years back discovered the newspaper story through a search on Ancestry.
I am so grateful for the service that you and others provide here on Find A Grave. This site has helped me tremendously over the years. Thank you again.

You're welcome. There's a few additional folks with that surname. I added four more; if you'd like pics, just put in the request and I'll get there when it isn't raining :) Kathi
