I started researching my genealogy in the late 1960's. Have come a long way since than. When I started it was mailing off request and including a self addressed, stamped envelope and waiting days, even weeks for an answer. Now I just boot up the computer and it's there. (all most).|
I enjoy going to the court house's where my ancestors lived and going through all the files they have. I try to take a trip at least once a or twice a year.

Linda, thank you so much for your prompt reply. I'm hoping that the photo is of the crew in front of a B-24, such as they flew in the CBI Theater during the War.
I'd appreciate anything that you can lend that will help me to learn about Mr. Brown's service.
I look forward to hearing from you again.

I'm an amateur historian particularly interested in former members of the 7th Bomb Group, and have the name "1st Lt. Gordon D. Brown, Pilot, Serial #O-767478" among a data base of names. I've searched online for more info and came across your memorial. Of particular interest is the photo of Lt. Brown, standing in uniform. Can you provide me with any information regarding his military service? I'd like to confirm that "your" Gordon Brown is the same man in my data base and hope you can provide me with some info or put me in contact with someone who can.
Thanks very much. I look forward to hearing from you.
|Karen Hill Walker||John & Eve Shaffer Family|
John Shaffer, Sr. and his wife Eve Elizabeth (Kelchner) are my 6th great grandparents.
Their son George Henry Shaffer 1781-1874 and wife Barbara (Slagle) are my 5th great grandparents.
Their daughter Sarah “Sally” (Shaffer) born 1812 and husband George Newton 1805-1874 are my 4th great grandparents.
I am looking for proof that Sarah “Sally” Shaffer was the daughter of George Henry and Barbara (Slagle) Shaffer.
Do you have any info that would help me with my search or a suggestion of where I could look?
Thanks – Karen Walker firstname.lastname@example.org

You are welcome!

- We claimed the photo request and transferred him. Let us know if we have any other of your kin.

Ok. I think there's a mix of two families here. Samuel and Sarah Frazier are probably very common names. I've only listed the ones born in Tennessee, as there is a census record for Samuel Frazier there.

Do you know why Jesse was born in Kentucky and the rest were born in Tennessee? The only states I have where they lived were in TN & IN, other than Sarah being born in VA.

Thanks, Linda. I'll email you tomorrow.
Are you a relative of John Vanina #73933868? I writing a book about Iowa Hill and its people and have some questions about John.
