Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am searching my ancestors with the names: Blair, Cunningham, Kendrick, Hogan, Bullock and Crawford. I am presently researching the Cunninghams. My line is from York Co SC and Mecklenburg Co NC. They left NC and lived in various states, from AR to TN and finally settled in Rusk Co and Navarro Co Tx in 1860. Any Cunningham's in Rusk Co or Navarro Co Tx, I would love to hear from you!

I was born in East Texas and live in Dallas,TX. I am a Christian Minister and business owner.

William Kendrick Cunningham
Hi, Helen,

I noticed your memorial for William Kendrick Cunningham when looking to link the parents of Albina Teresa Cunningham Holleman. I am a descendant of her husband's brother Moody Valentine Holleman. I am interested in where the Cunningham homestead was located, where William Kendrick Cunningham is buried. I had not previously heard of this burial. Any idea what happened to his wife?

There is a small abandoned cemetery near where I live which has some Cunninghams buried in it. I had always assumed that they were related to Albina Teresa, but maybe they are not. I see she was born in NC, while they are from Tennessee.

Helen, I have looked over my contributions thoroughly, but cannot find where I have contributed anything for Sarah Jane Holleman Smith or her parents. Maybe you can contact the person who created her memorial. Her memorial id# is 42465923. Good luck!

Allene Peek
Hi, Helen
My name is Allene Peek. I am Kittie Cunningham Hackbarth's daughter. Willene's daughter, Mary Elisabeth (M.E.) told me about you and Find a Grave.com. So glad to find you! Lee's name was Leander Valentine Cunningham. I have a brother named after him, Leander Lambert Hackbarth. He passed away many years ago. My email address is allenepeek@gmail.com I remember you very well. I just loved playing with you and your sisters on the few visits we had. Emmy was the oldest. Then you and Dorothy were twins. I just can't remember the name of the youngest. I have some information taken from old Bible records. I believe Dan Blair sent it to my mother. I will send you a copy by the old snail mail. Email me your address. Hopefully we will have different information to share with each other. Ask me any questions. Your picture is very beautiful! I am so excited to communicate with you! Allene

Yes, I am lucky. I was not born and raised in this state, but through marriage, I ended up right where my roots are, in Mecklenburg & Cabarrus County, NC. It has made searching my roots a lot easier!

Sorry I don't have anything more on him. Actually this memorial is one I "inherited" from the late Brenda Means Barker. She was the original contributor. Brenda & I were very distantly related and I don't know if Walter Cunningham was related to her or not. She did quite a few memorials at Providence Church. A couple of us contributors volunteered to take over some of Brenda's memorials after her death. I had taken some of the photos at Providence Presbyterian, so this one was given to me. If you learn more about him, I am happy to add in stuff to the bio, and I certainly will if I learn more. I live close by.

Helen, It is always a privilege to run across a fellow Christian! I am happy that my scripture reaches others who view my profile. I pray all who read it have the peace that our savior Jesus Christ so freely and lovingly wants to give to mankind.

I have transferred your Uncle Oscar and Aunt Mable to you! I always prefer that relatives maintain management of the memorials I have created here. If you come across anymore of your family that you would like transferred, I am more than happy to do so.

God bless and take care!!
