|Forest Hill||declined corrections|
These memorial corrections were sent because the Find A Grave rule says that no punctuation marks are to be used in the name fields. so (Child) should be Child; (Infant) should be Infant; and (Rivers) should be Rivers (except that reading the notes it doesn't sound like there is any proof that the grave is for a person named Rivers).

The correct procedure is for you to request that the two memorials be merged. You do that by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the links to both memorials and an explanation about which memorial is correct and why (documentation).
If there are other duplicates in the Old/New cemeteries, do them the same way. You can send two sets of duplicates in each email, and five emails per day to the edit@ address.
If you are creating second memorials when you know one already exists in the wrong cemetery, you should instead request that the cemetery name be corrected instead. Write to the memorial manager first, if they don't respond in 30 days send it to the edit@ address. In the long run its easier than getting merges done.

|Forest Hill||naming rules|
please do not use punctuation such as ??? or --- in the memorial name fields. Find A Grave's policy is that unknown or unreadable names should be entered as:
first name: unknown
last name: unknown
this is so that the memorials can be found by the search engine. thanks!

Hi, on the tombstone it says James Cummings and you have it listed as John
|Janice Cross||Armentine Autry Cummings|
Thank you for posting the picture of the above. I would love to see a close up of her husband, James Attis Cummings. He was my great uncle and I will probably never be able to get there to take a picture. Thank you.
|Chip Landry||John L. Miller|
According to Mrs. Mary Ash, who I spoke with in 1996, John L. Miller is her father and he is not buried in the Ash cemetery. He was buried on the banks of the Yazoo River, but the family could not afford a grave marker. Many years later when they were able to purchase a grave marker, no one in the family could remember where the grave was. Her brother stored the marker in his barn for many years, and then brought it to her to put into the Ash cemetery.
His marker would be a cenotaph.
Thank you so much for the tranfer of my Uncle Elmer Burnette Brown Find A Grave page

When I transcribed this cemetery in 1993, my reading of the headstone was Born Aug. ___ 1890
Died Nov. 3, 1900.
I will ride out there and double check to see if it can be verified.
