I feel these memorials should be maintained by family whenever possible. With that in mind, if I am not related to the person, I will be happy to transfer the memorial. |
If I have a picture on the memorial you want to use, feel free, you don't need to ask.
I surely don't understand some contributors that hold your families memorials "Hostage", If you are not related then "Give it up", I absolutely believe in KARMA...(and Ghost) but that's another story...
I spend most of my free time working on my Family history and find roaming old cemeteries is amazing. Some of the headstones I see are nearly unreadable, some are eroded to the point they can no longer be read. If we don't try to preserve these at least by photos, they will be lost forever, no one will ever know who they were. By taking photos and sharing the info, maybe someone who is searching will find who they are seeking.
I'm back in Texas now but spent a few months in Pennsylvania. I found the cemeteries there are
unique and some so very old. I loved it and the trees and grass, lol everything was so GREEN!

Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on. Cherished memories will never fade, because ones loved is gone. Those we love can never be, more than a thought apart, for as long as there is a memory, they live with in our heart.

I saw this on another contributors page (R Schuerer #46794628), It is so true. Makes you think, don't it.....
I believe that a soul is awakening whenever someone remembers and thinks about the deceased person no matter how many years have passed. The soul may be an unknown, a distant family member or a very close relative. God knows the soul of this person who is never forgotten by Him.
It seems the lives of acquaintances or certain relatives, whom you had the personal opportunity of knowing during their lifetime, become more significant after their death. Upon reflection of their lives, you realize the importance of their individual needs that you did not fully appreciate while living. Little or no gratitude was ever expressed by you in appreciation of knowing a particular person.
It appears that we take life so much for granted that we miss the real important happenings and occasions. So many memories of life's events are so easily and quickly forgotten. Suddenly you realize upon death or some time afterwards, the significance of that person's life on your own.
Opportunities of love and/or friendship lost forever.
No person is ever truly dead until the last person forgets to remember them.

Wanted to thank you for taking the time to put up the obit for R.E. Moore. He is the father of my GG-Aunt Martha Gray Moore (55239569) and I was really happy to see the added information. I was wondering though.. if there might be an obit for Martha Gray Moore that someone could add... would make us a whole lot happier !!! Thank you

Hi Im looking for info on my great grand mother. All my aunts and uncles tell me her sisters and brothers were Lina, Frank, Lena. I see you posted photos of all these people but she isnt included . Un less she had a name other than what I knew her as. she died when I was 5. I knew her as Granny Horn. 1st married to Amrestad Z Knight aka Bunk Knight. She was also married to Jesse James Horn. I have found them on Find a grave and a funeral notice also lists her " brother and sisters but they are not names.
