I've lived in the New Haven area all my life. From the time I was very young, photography has been an important part of my life, and that, combined with my love of history, is what led me to this site. If I can be of any assistance to anyone in tracking down a grave, please don't hesitate to contact me.|
If you happen to have a photo of a particular gravestone that is easier to read than one I've posted, please feel free to post yours as well - I won't mind!
If you are interested in cemeteries in CT, please visit my group on the photo-sharing website, Flickr.com: Connecticut Cemeteries!
Note: If asking for me to link one memorial to another, please let me know the memorial numbers involved...don't make me have to search for them. When asking for a transfer of one of my memorials, if the memorial in question is your direct relative within four generations (siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents), I will be happy to transfer it over to you. If not, I would rather maintain the memorial myself as I have done a great deal of work in research and photography on them.

The father and son's birth dates are backwards :)
|Collins Crapo||Thomas Edison Sloane #40074555|
He was the grandson & namesake of inventor Thomas Edison. I don't know if you use the Edits feature at all, but a request is pending to link the younger Thomas to his parents, John Eyre Sloane (#117689728) & Madeleine Edison Sloane (the inventor's daughter, #117689768). A now-defunct duplicate page for Madeleine is currently linked as mother to the younger Thomas.

Thanks!! :-) Did I request this record or did you just notice my record on find a grave or on one of my listings? If I requested it I don't remember ( as I request a lot of WW II soldiers ).
The reason I ask is I'm working on creating listings for the entire state of Connecticut and could sure use some help sometimes since I actually live in Delaware .... LOL
Anyway, He is on my listing at:

Hi, it's time for my quarterly visit to Beaverdale to work on the many memorials without pictures. So I go thru a group and send a correction for the plot number to be added. Thank you for processing them, I don't want to overwhelm you, just working on my crazy project.

A thousand thanks. N

I'm working through Grove Street Cemetery and adding plot information from their on-line database. I spend a great deal of time mowing the rows, and I'd take exception to someone stealing my photos. I don't know if you feel the same. I noticed that another contributor is posting your photos as her own (see the above memorial for an example), and wondering if you've given her permission to do so.

Yes, I thought so as well.
May I transfer her to your care?
You are very welcome.
