Memorial# 16148426 KG Dampier
I checked the documentation that you cited regarding KG's name and understand why you declined my request to get rid of the periods. KG could not read and write. His first wife Ola, my grandmother, taught him to write his name after they were married. His signature was not that good and very shaky looking. The signature on the WWI Draft card is not his signature. Looks as if whoever filled out the card for him also signed it for him. Maybe the X is his.
It would be the same for other records. He would not have known any difference to tell them. I don't know about the headstone. My dad would have taken care of the headstone and he is deceased so I cannot explain the periods. Anyway, thank you for transferring KG's memorial and Ola's to my wife. It was kind of you to do so. I'm sorry. I forgot to include my name on the prior message that I just left for you. Pat in Mississippi is my wife. My name is William Robert "Bob" Dampier. I am KG's oldest grandson.

KG Dampier was my grandfather. His given name was KG. The KG do not stand for anything. They are not initials. There should be no periods by each letter. Actually, the KG could go in one box as he really didn't have a middle name and putting them in separate boxes makes it look like they are initials. He was called KG all of his life by his family and friends. When asked about the KG, he would tell you exactly what I have stated. None of his siblings ever said otherwise. Please take the periods away. Thank you.

Lawrence Pope LeBlanc 1914-1970
Hi, Ron

First husband of:
C: Conchetta Sansone LeBlanc Kokinos #114549404

Through Ancestry.com - I found the following (and Connie give me burial location) She also remembered that he was a shrimper at one time.

Lawrence Pope LeBlanc
b: 27 April 1914
Golden Meadow, Lafourche Parish, Louisiana
d: Oct 1970
Freeport, Brazoria County, Texas

I have exhausted all the "leaves" on Ancestry.com. If you have the time or interest, I thought I'd give this info to you "big guns"

My only other clue was the 1920 Census which has a LeBlanc family in Texas with a son named Lawrence. I don't think Connie knows anything about her dad's side of the family. Found nothing in the 1930 Census which means I'm not doing it right.

If you come up with anything, Connie, Rose and I would be so ever grateful.

Sansone Family in Lake Providence Cemetery
Hi, Ron
Would you consider transferring the following memorials to me? I am working for Connie LeBlanc and Rose Sansone (grand daughters of Rosa Sansone 1886-1967 buried in Lake Providence.

Rosa Sansone Sansone #131426865 (grandmother)
Dommnick Sansone #131426983 (uncle)
Joe Sansone #131427256 (unmarked grave)
Tony Sansone #131427120 (Rose's father)
Unmarked grave - Rose has the veterans stone in her back yard... Long story...

I'm in hopes that I can turn Rose Sansone into a Find A Grave person and eventually turn the memorials over to her.

I've built their family for them on ancestry.com

Thanks a heap!
