I totally and completely agree!!!!!
I agree with your bio statement. Thank you for trying not to be one of them.

My grandmother's memorial page was created a day after her death literally. My family hadn't even had a chance to bury her and grieve our loss. I found out about the page a couple of years after her death when I finally had time to create one for her. If I had found out while we were grieving I would have been more livid. Luckily, I had the memorial transferred to me so I can manage my family the way these pages should have been from the beginning.

The other thing is creating memorials for people who are still alive. I've had that also. Just because the spouse's name is on the headstone with the deceased doesn't mean that there should be a memorial for him/her yet. It also doesn't mean that they never remarried or that he/she was actually buried there. My other grandmother (still alive) has had a memorial page created by a complete stranger. I asked the person to delete the memorial page. Instead the page was transferred to me for management. I will keep/manage the page but at least I won't have to keep asking people to stop making my grandmother dead before she's actually dead. Both of these instances happened at about the same time. It was two different Find A Grave individuals.

Wow! What a difference! Thank you so much for taking such a nice, dignified photo of Mr. Fark's grave marker. I appreciate the time you took to make sure the marker was clean. It looks terrific and your photo will be appreciated for years to come.

Thank you. I moved her. Can be tricky when you don't know the area and there are similar names. Appreciate it.
