|James Earl (Sam) Price||Aunt Lizzie|
Aunt Lizzie obviously a widow when she married J W R Strong about 1898, plus or minus. Do you know any thing about Mr. Ross
|Barbara Arceneaux||Corp George Ross|
I noticed you left a flower on his memorial.
I don't know if this is a family member buried at chalmette national cemetery but I wanted to let you know that I have put a picture of his grave stone on the memorial.
I am Sandra Ross (O'Connor). I never knew my father's family. He has passed on but his name is Robert Edward Ross from Tennessee - Lexington, Henderson, Middle Fork area.(He is buried in Olive Branch, MS) He did mention a grandmother named "Mary". I'm trying to put names together from posted cemetery records and I think his brother was Willie Pearl Ross,Sr. (His wife was also named Willie Ross!) I have found an Emily ( AKA - Zell or Zette) Ross who may have been his mother and possibly unmarried when her first two (or 3?) children were born.(Robert and Willie Pearl.) Later she was married to a Mose Stout and they had 2 children together. I think Lilly Ross is her sister and she married Jack Stout, the brother of Mose. I think Emily was the sister of Will R.??Ross but I can't find any indication that Lilly was a sister to Will R. Ross.
I've been searching for along time trying to find out just who were my father's parents. Findagrave "grave diggers" have been so kind to help...but no answers that "fit". I'd rather know his father was "unknown" than to keep wondering.
Since your name is Ross, I am hoping you might know something that you didn't know you knew!
Forgive the long post, I was just so excited to see your name. If it's not a lead, please forgive the intrusion.

Thank you so much for the reply! Yes, I have actually found the information that I was seeking about Daniel Gordon James. The person who manages his memorial filled in the blanks for me.
I truly appreciate you trying to help!

Noticed that you left a "note" on the memorial page of James Albert "Jim" Ross at the Old Forest Cemetery awhile back. And you have Ross as your maiden name?
Are you connected to this family.....
James Albert Ross was my great grandfather and my grandmother was his daughter, Flora Arlene Ross and she was married to Charles Wesley Rankin, also at Old Forest Cemetery.
In case you are interested, I just added a bit of update on the children. Several volunteers are no longer avaiable to connect family members, so I just added a bit of bio.
In order to get to my memorial page on James Albert "Jim" Ross you have to go through Alice Virginia Adams' spouse on her memorial page. Use to have his show up the usual way but somehow it got knocked off.
Many of the memorial pages at the Old Forest Cemetery I placed. Many of the interments do not have markers.

|Emerian Rich||Nancy (Brewer) Gordy|
I'm researching my husband's family and wondered if you knew Nancy (Brewer) Gordy? I believe she was my husband's great aunt but he never knew this side of the family because his gpa was killed in WW2.
|Kelli Smythe||RE: Leroy Thomas Davis|
No I am not related. I was down in the area and went by to take photos of the cemetery. I hope it helps some one out there looking for connections.
God's Blessings on your research.
|Bonnie Sisson Manning||Ross family in Old Bastrop Cemetery|
I assume you are kin to the Ross family in the Old Bastrop Cemetery. If you have any info to add to the memorials here on Find A Grave, I'd love to have it.
