I WILL HONOR MOST TRANSFER REQUESTS. I definitely transfer out of guidelines. Please ask.
If I am related to the person being requested I may choose to keep the memorial. To request a transfer go to the memorial and click on the Edit button. Then choose the option "Suggest any other correction or addition". In the box that comes up simply request a transfer - you do not need to explain to me how you are related or why you want the memorial. If you list multiple memorials in the same request be sure to include a link to all memorials or at least the memorial #s, full names, and dates. If you request all memorials for a last name ... i.e. all Smiths ... be careful as you may get a LOT of memorials.
I no longer post my email on my profile page. It is gravehunting @ glenda.com (without the spaces, of course).

I see. But the original Sykes settlers came from somewhere else. You may have undiscovered Sykes' from the South!! Wouldn't that be a kick to be related/cousins?
|Sundra Sykes Jordan||RE: Thomas S. Phoenix|
I don't have any Sykes' in Kansas that I have found yet. However, some made it to California so possible they cam by way of Kansas.I know some moved to Texas but not sure where from there.

Thanks for your help. I'm sure they will appreciate the information.

I was just thinking about her! Glad you figured out how she fit in!

You are welcome. Interesting to find out how Marie fits into the puzzle. And no, I have no idea why Mary has"Bird" on her headstone. Maybe you are right, a nickname. Unfortunately, I'm not a big help when it comes to research. I did not see anyone with Bird as a last name buried there (but I did not search the whole cemetery).

I'm not sure if all of the babies are listed or not. They later ones wouldn't be, I'm not sure when they put that memorial up. Don't believe it was there when I first went there. It's right behind Range 21. I'll have to check next time I'm up there. I don't think they all have markers, unless they would be in some other part of the cemetery.
The NPG is by the baby section, but I'm not sure if it's left or right of them.. Need to check on that also.

Check this baby out. It's the front of the marker. No names on it, but 2 plaques in front with baby names.

Why don't you check with the cemetery? They might have more info on him.

I did not call the cemetery office to make sure that the plot information was correct. If you want to give them a call and if the information is different let me know and I would be happy to go check out new information. Won't be doing any searching for a few days though. We have received a significant snowfall today!
