Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have lived in Preble county, Ohio all my life. I love history and this area is rich in it. I grew up running around the historical society and all the wonderful people there instilled a love of history. I'm currently trying to find more info on the veterans buried in the county. Any info is greatly appreciated!

If you find that I have wrong info on any memorial I have contributed then please click the edit link at the top right of the page. It may take a few days but I'm more than happy to change it. If you would like me to transfer a memorial to you, please use the edit link to ask. You must define a specific relationship. Not just "I knew the person". If I find the reasoning or relationship good enough, and within FAG rules, then the memorial is yours.

PLEASE DO NOT PLACE BIO INFORMATION IN THE MEMORIAL FLOWERS!! IF U SEND IT TO ME IN THE EDIT TAB I WILL HAPPILY PLACE IT IN THE PROPER SPACE!

Also, please bear with me as my Cholera cemeteries and Veterans cemeteries are works in progress. I am currently going through Preble County's Veterans WPA files and it a long process, as there are over 12,000 veterans buried in our county. Please also feel free to use any photo or memorial I have created in your family histories. Thank you!

ATTENTION...

***It may take me a while to process your edits or answer and take care of messages. I recently underwent surgery for cancer. I've been in and out of the hospital due to complications. I will take care of everything as soon as I am able. Thank you for your patience and understanding!!!***

RE: William Black
Hello,

Thanks for your reply. Can I ask you one more question, since it seems like you have been there, does Mound Hill seem like it has a place where it keeps records on burial? Im considering calling to see if any info can at least be obtained on William Black.

William Black
Hello,

I believe you created the Findagrave for William Black, who was allegedly a saddler who died during the cholera epidemic. Did you explore the cemetery at Mound Hill that he was at? Is his tombstone still in existence?

Hi! This is a LONG shot but I have to try anyways! I have an ancestor Clarinda/Clorinda Clara Rife born 1826. I've only found one marriage record for her and it was to William Rife. I believe she was about 25ish when she married him and it said her last name was Fleming prior, so I don't know if she married before him or not. Maybe it was her maiden? She died in 1865 in Fairfield County. Her tombstone says her maiden is Wooten!? Maybe an error but I doubt it. Cannot find anything on her and have the slightest idea where she's from. Since I can't find info on her and can't decipher which was actually her maiden, I'm looking for Fleming and Wooten in Ohio to see if they have her in their tree. Wondering if you'd take a moment to see if she may be your tree, I can exchange info if needed, thank you

RE: John Peach - Newton Cemetery
Good morning! Thank you so much for offering to see what you can dig up on him. He is the only Peach listed on Find A Grave for the Preble County area. I think there are only 6 in Montgomery County and 5 of them are related. The 6th one, George Peach, I have no information on. Iíll have to do some digging to see what family tree he belongs to.

I am so happy to hear that you are cancer free. YAY!!! But sorry to hear that you are having some complications from the surgery. I have a friend that has trouble with infections from the site where herís was removed. Which reminds me, I need to call her to see how she is doing today. I hope and pray that you will be back to good health again soon. You have gone through enough. It is time for good things to come your way. You deserve it.

Thank you for all you do for Find A Grave. It is very much appreciated. And so is you offering to help me.

Take care and may angels watch over you and keep you in their loving care.

John Peach - Newton Cemetery
Hi Sarah,

I hope this finds you doing well and in remission.

I was wondering if you have any information about John Peach. I am a member of a Yahoo Peach family group and we are curious about John Peach. We are trying to link him with other Peach families. Any information regarding him would be much appreciated.

Thank you for your time. I pray that angels watch over you and keep you in their loving care.
