In our family, the Hazel name switches back and forth in history from Hazel to Hazle to Hasel to Hasell to Hassel and so forth. My family lines include Hazel/Hazle, Bolt, Owens, Garner, Coleman, Nelson, Brownlee, Stone, Garrett, Owsley, Hughes, Riddle, Franks, Lanford, etc. - most from Laurens/Ninety-Six District/Gray Court/Newberry/Hickory Tavern, SC. |
I don't mind transferring pages for those who are not in my family, and I'm open to comments and corrections. I may sometimes make mistakes, so please kindly point them out. Unkind remarks are not necessary and will be deleted.

Not now, but in the coming years,
It will be in a better land.
We'll read the meaning of our tears,
And then sometime, we'll understand.

My email is Kds111555@yahoo.com
I would appreciate any photos you could send, especially of Kenneth, Willie, Blanche, and Mattie

Thank You so much for that information. May I ask your name and your mothers name. You probably know my Uncle, Henry Stone. Do you have any more photos of Kenneth H Stone or of any of the other Stones. Thanks!

What is your relation to Kenneth H Stone (1940-1969)?
He was my father.
Thank You for sharing the photo of him as a child. I had never seen it.

No I didn't write the obituary. Homer is my Mom's first cousin and they were both wonderful people.
Donna, I just made the transfer ! Don't mind doing this at all. My Nelsons were from around Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church around Cold Point. Sure that we are related through one line or another !

Would you like to have the 2 Hazel memorials transferred to you that I have at Rose Hill cemetery, since you are connected to that family?

I just noticed this message, Donna, and I created that account. I did not realize you'd also already created one! Thank you so much.
Is there a way to merge the two? If not, no big deal. We'll consider him "double covered" :)

I want to make sure I have the right group before you post this, but my grandfather just passed away and he was a member of the 97th Infantry Company D 303rd Regiment. He served as a spotter and a mortar Staff Sergeant. His name was John S Meiser. If you could confirm his virtual grave belongs in this group, I can give you any other details you might need to add it.

|Rickey "Rick" Boult||BOLT FAMILY|
Hi, hope all is well.
I have a BOLT family question if you dont mind.
Rick Boult "BOLT"
|Patricia Dacus||William Garrett (1763-1844) in Warrior Creek Cemetery|
I noticed your comment that the tombstone was not William Garrett (1763-1844) and that William Jack Garrett was a totally different person. In the daybook maintained by Ann Owsley Garrett, it says her son William Garrett married Nancy Bramlett. This could possibly be the sister of Sarah Bramlett who married William's brother Nicholas Ware Garrett. I am descended from the Bramlett family which is why I think they may have been sisters. This memorial says William's wife was Nancy Ross, and most people have now associated William with Nancy Ross. Do you know anything about this? Was Nancy Ross married to a different William Garrett, or did he have 2 wives, or was Nancy Bramlett married to a Ross??? Any light you can shed on this would be appreciated.
