Hi I am a descendant of Daniel J Campbell I am currently making a family tree and I was wondering do you have any information on him who his parents are and if he was married.

Clarissa (Wilcox) Moore

I see your memorial for Clarissa, daughter of Amos and Mary Wilcox of Minisink. I am a descendant of Asa Wilcox, her likely younger brother who went to Franklin County, OH. I have always wondered why she was back in Minisink when her husband and family were still in Ohio. Do you have any information on that? Were they divorced or separated, or was she just visiting her parents? I see in the Orange Co., NY probate records where her husband Isaac Moore applied for administration of her estate, was granted it, and then it was removed. I also see in the Orange Co., NY deeds where her father Amos transferred land to Isaac Moore.

Just curious what you might have as a descendant of her.

RE: Betty photo
I have a bunch a of photos of Lewis graves from when we went out there. Not sure if Find a Grave is worth all the work. I eventually want to put together a timeline of photos and dates for the Lewis but I'm always busy. Something I can share with the family but it's very time consuming. I ended up there tonight because I'm doing a lesson on stained glass windows and I was trying to find a photo of Del Rey Church's windows, but I guess they weren't stained. For some reason I thought they were. Ended up looking a family stuff.

I had some photos that I took of graves for other people and now they aren't on Find A Grave (find a grave). Weird.

George W. Kipps
Thank you for the "flower" for George W. Kipps. I am descended from his older sister Lucinda. He now has a bio. Do you have any more information on the Kipps family?

Clarissa Wilcox Moore
Clarissa Wilcox Moore died in Orange Co, NY, not in Ohio. I have some legal papers regarding her estate that states that fact. Had she died in Ohio, she would have had to be buried there. There was no embalming in 1828 and it would have taken at least a week to transport her via wagon to NY.

Clarissa was my 4X great grandmother.

RE: Clarissa Moore
you're welcome! it was a bit uncomfortable but I'm glad I found it... there are about 30 headstones that are completely deteriorated and no longer legible. You got lucky! let me know if there's anyone else in the area that you're looking for and I'll try to help.
