RE: How are we related?
So that would make us second cousins? I'm not very good at ancestry. Im nearly 56 yrs old and I met a few of my mom's family and my dad's family when I was very, very young but after that, maybe once or twice.

RE: How are we related?
Thank you so much for answering. My mom, Harvey and so on, are siblings.. So Harvey and Garland are my uncles, and Brett is my cousin. Terri Tully was a FB friend but she blocked me because a musician friend sent some pictures with an upward middle finger from the old days, so she cut and run. Didn't mesh with her church groups. lol. I am on the Cogburn Family page on FB. Its all of the direct descendants of Joe and Nelly Cogburn, and their kids so far. With Harvey being the last one, (Irving is in a home with Alzeimers) its mostly us cousins. Some of them have met. I don't know any of them personally, but they seem to be good people. I sure wish I could find someone who knows stories of my moms life. I know more about her since she passed, than when she was alive. She was such a good lady. so generous of heart and fiercely independent. We all miss her so very much.

How are we related?
Your name is 'kin of the Cogburn" I am a Cogburn by blood. My mom was Lula Mae Cogburn, Garland Cogburn was my uncle, Modena "Joan" cogburn was my aunt. I would love to know everything you know about my family, as my mom was a bit of a loner. My moms page was transferred to me and belongs to me. Thank you for your time.

Gain family
You will need to contact the owners of Troy to connect parents to him. We can only connect parents and spouses.

While looking up info on Find A Grave, I saw an enquiry you made to another contributor. I do not make a practice of reading other people's messages but this one contained a question on Aaron Brassfield.
You mentioned a Nancy E Kirk who possibly married him. My question is who were parents of Nancy? I am looking for a Nancy Kirk who married a Brassfield, first name unknown. Her parents were Thomas and Martha Gwin Kirk.

Willie Freeman
I was told that Willie came out to Oklahoma with a William "Will" Freeman. From what I was told from Willie's grand daughter that William took Willie in and gave him that name.. Not sure on the details.

Willie Freeman
Did Willie come out to Oklahoma from Alabama with a William "Will" Freeman? William was married to my great-grandmother Emma Elwood-Freeman.
