I am married (34 years) and have two lovely daughters. Our family also consists of 3 dogs (1 is a registered therapy dog), 1 horse, and 7 chickens. One motto in our family is a day without at least 1 good belly laugh is a day without sunshine. I love to garden (better at veggies than flowers), read, visit hospitalized children with our therapy dog, homeschool my kiddos, travel, and train dogs. |
I WILL HONOR TRANSFER REQUESTS for relatives even if they're not your direct relatives or within FAG's 4 generation rule. I understand how meaningful it can be to connect to your past. Unless, of course, they're my or my husband's direct relatives. Your family means more to you than they can to me!
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO USE any headstone photos of your relatives that I have placed here. They are a part of history and I don't own history. I understand you may live across the country and can't take a photo of your ancestor's stone. If my photo blesses you, then I am blessed. I would appreciate a message from you, just as an encouragement to keep taking pictures.

|John B. East III||East Quarry/Mill Company|
My great grandfather, Charles Asbury East Sr. was a well known businessman in Glencoe. You posted his obituary and I was wondering if you had a last known address. My mother had taken me to it when I was younger but she has dementia and no longer remembers where it is. I'd like to take my son there...either the quarry, home, or just the general vicinity for that matter. lol

Thank you so much my friend for taking the time to visit my brother and leave a token.
This means so much to me as he only died yesterday.
|Lynelle Caffee||John Newport|
Hi Nora, John Newport #35963358 you show he married an Elizabeth maiden name unknown. She was Elizabeth Cecil. Are you related to
John Newport? He was my 4th Great Grandfather.
|Debbie Holth||RE: Lillie Payton|
Nora Ann - I am SOOOO SORRY for not answering sooner. We have had a traumatic year to say the least and I have not been involved with much outside of caring for mom who has Alzheimers, selling her home, and dealing with all kinds of issues. I am so sorry - to answer your question, yes, Lillie is my grandmother's mom - which would make her my great-grandmother. Are you related? I would love to share info and add more. I have heard that Lillie died one of two ways: (1) She drowned during a flood while saving a child, or (2) She died of measles while pregnant. So I would love to find out if any of that is accurate and if there are any family Bibles or pics, etc. I would be happy to share info. My father died in 2007 - he was Lillie's grandson and they never met since she died 9 years before Bessie had children. Anyway, I truly hope you are still there and we can connect again.
Thanks and have a great November!!!

Hi Nora Ann: Could you please tell me how you create those personalized tokens? I've tried to look online, but I can't find anything. Hope this won't be too much trouble for you. Thanks in advance.
Was so pleased to see you had left a token on my Momma's page.....made me feel not so alone.
I posted a Happy Mother's Day on my mom's Find A Grave site today and found you had posted something on her page that was a Christmas greeting for "Mom". Since I am an only child I'm wondering who you are and why you posted on her page. Her name is Edna Irene Schwartz..maiden name Gustafson
