|Bio and Links|
In the 1980's I started researching my Linn ancestors (without benefit of computer) but got busy with my sons' activities and put it on hold. In 1999 a cousin got me involved with my Steinberg ancestors and I have been going full speed ahead ever since. |
Upon graduating from the University of Illinois my father obtained employment in the State of Washington, far from any relatives. My ancestors (after entering the USA)settled in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Montana, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and New Jersey - I want to experience first hand where and how they lived so I travel the country obtaining data, meeting people, seeing the sights and tramping cemeteries. I missed the "cousin experience" growing up and think that is why I enjoy genealogy so much -- meeting new cousins (who cares if they are 1st or 10th cousins)and sharing our family histories.
I am researching Linn, Gibson, Weir, Scott, Polk, Steinberg, Koerner, Mitten, Bennett, Switzer (Swisher), Slonaker, Shaw, Goff, Townsend, McCarty and Whitehead, Miller, Schroen, Glabe, Schafer/Schaefer/Shafer. I am also reseaching Dishon, Deshon, DeShon, Deschamps and Herrold for my two sons.

Thanks Jan...If this is family of yours I will gladly transfer.

It is your memorial and you can do what you prefer. It is a 22 year old obit and survivor information is not compromised. I would transcribe it for you to copy and paste into the bio, but I don't type well and it would take a lot of time. The source information is in the caption. You can copy and paste it into the biography. That will alert Ancestry that a biography is available on the memorial. Some members object to obituary images and also refuse to transcribe the information into a biography. Some have deleted memorials and created new ones to get rid of images. Old obituaries are useful tools and I have found information in them that is not available on websites.--Storres

I have ongoing problems with my internet service provider and Internet Explorer. My edit is to add Thomas Gallagher 1893-1918 as first spouse. The system probably deleted the links to her parents resulting in the unknown. Her parents should remain the same. I was not certain about the first marriage to Thomas Gallagher until their marriage application appeared in a search.--Storres

You are welcome. More family links are appearing. They are Gallagher, Binder and Pruner. I will transfer them to you when I run out of information.--Storres

YOU ARE WELCOME!!

Is it the new policy that when a duplicate is made, but was a transfer, neither you nor Lois can delete it? I thought the original creator could always delete a memorial they created, even if it was transferred, but Lois said she can't delete it. Did you have to go through Find A Grave to delete it? If so, I wasn't aware of that policy.
|MidwestMom||RE: Thomas B. Bennett|
Did you check your edits? I'll go ahead and look at everything. Did you get my emails with the proof?
I'm going to transfer to you all the Bennett's I have as soon as I make sure they are all correct. I think I have some in Pleasant Ridge too that you might want. Let me know if there are any others. I am not related in the slightest! Pam

You are so welcome. If there is anything else I can do let me know

Never mind - I found their baptismal date. I don't know. So far, no death dates, though the parish records for the mid 1860's are very poor. I'll keep looking.
