Capt. William Williams
Find A Grave#76364767
Although I have (based solely on Census records)William Williams(on)year of birth as ranging from 1812-1820, I believe this to be William Williamson, husband of Maria Magdalens Kuntze (Kuhns) as he was killed June 3,1864 @ Battle of Cold Harbor.*
The only discrepancy I find in he was referred to as "Private" not Captain in Co E in the 55th Regiment . Would the cemetery have any information regarding this? His body (according to Pension granted to his widow)was never recovered. Tks

Thank you so much for the photo of this headstone. I have submitted to you an updated date of birth and have also given you his middle name to update the memorial.

With your permission, I would like to add the photo of the headstone to my family tree (and would include you as the photographer). Would that be ok with you?
