I am pleased to announce that Mt Pleasant has been completely photographed. That is those stones that are visible. The photos are not posted on FAG but I check the request list against my database.|
All those photo requests are most likely unmarked or illegible grave sites.
Any memorial page I have created I have a picture of the headstone.
If you want a photo officially request one, don't bury your request in a spouse or another family members photo request.
Too many volunteers are now asking for other volunteers to do their research, please try and do your own on your time.
I take responsibility ONLY for the information obtained from the headstone unless otherwise specified by me. There are very few exceptions.
Due to the changes and procedures for adding addition information it is very time consuming to include the source. Find A Grave DOES NOT provide a way to show where the information comes from.
In light of these changes and the automated edit system, which makes it almost impossible to deny acceptance of changes and addition, I have been transferring all memorial pages to those wishing to make edits. This too has become too time consuming.
Therefore, in order to include the changes whether the information is CORRECT OR NOT I feel I am being forced to accept all edits. I hate this part because I have had quite a few people send edits only to resend two or three times in order to make corrections.
If you find errors send corrections but do not, I repeat DO NOT ask me about the information posted or hold me responsible for the additions. This goes against all genealogical best practices, but the only other solution would be to take down all the memorials and pictures I have posted.
If you find an error, double listing or double picture please let me know so I can correct the problem.
I have in the past used a picture of the cemetery gate/sign with "Office couldn't locate a burial for this person" imprinted on it. If you get this posting and do find a picture of you persons tombstone, let me know and I will remove it.
SHOULD YOU WISH TO MANAGE A MEMORIAL PAGE, PLEASE JUST ASK FOR A TRANSFER.

Karen - Thanks for your response. I guess I didn't realize what the photo was indicating. The names of Daisy and her husband Edward are printed in white near the headstone of her mother, Mary Alice, so does that mean that the couple was buried in the same plot as the mother - or right next to her?
I"m sorry for not understanding this in the first place.
Thanks - Janet

Hi Karen, Thanks again for the Burian transfer. (I'm still working on the project.)... This is just a little FYI: I'm updating some things related to the artist Cordelia Wilson whose memorial you setup. (Thanks in advance for the OKs.) I found an article at Wikipedia about her, if you are at all curious. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cordelia_Wilson
Best regards, Earl

Thank you so much for your recent posting of the photo of the gravesite of Lucy Carr. You have gone beyond the requirements to actually photograph the spot where her unmarked grave is. You have gone to the trouble of indicated her resting place. Thanks so much. It is sad that there is no marker for her. Her husband was a prominent physician in Pipestone Minnesota. He died 13 years before she did. She and her only child, an unmarried daughter, for whatever reason, left Minnesota for Seattle. Her daughter died a year before she did. Apparently there was no one who cared enough or had the funds to put a marker on her grave.
