Bio and Links
Bio Photo PLEASE! DO NOT UPLOAD ANY OF MY PHOTOS WITHOUT EXPRESS PERMISSION. I'm pretty easy to get along with and will be happy to transfer anything within the guidelines. But to take photos from my memorials that are copyright protected (even though they may not be watermarked as such - check the copyright laws for verification) is clearly not appropriate and, technically illegal. I'm not saying I'll send a team of lawyers after you, I'm just asking for a small degree of common courtesy. Just ask! All I want is attribution for the work I've done. I only have about 1,800 in my name, but I've uploaded over 20,000 as a partner/volunteer of another Find A Grave contributor, John O'Connor, who was entirely welcome to my work....he asked! As a matter of fact, many of the photos that I took (and therefore hold the copyright) were uploaded under John's account.

Contact me anytime with corrections, links, transfers (according to policy) or adding information. I will respond as quickly as is reasonable.

A quick note: I'm often asked a question about hyperlinks. To add an internal link within a biography, you would need to type
< a href="http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=XXXXXXX">Name< /a>
(I put this here because I use it frequently and am tired of digging for it in the FAQ.)

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your kind reply re the Landen memorials in Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts, and thank you for prompt attention to the matter. I have first cousins who descend from Charlotte Landen's father. All the Landens at that cemetery are related.

Best Wishes,
Ellen Stevenson

My mistake, I had England on my mind. He died in France.

He would have more than qualified under the 'famous' category on Findagrave. A very distinguished painter & some sculpture. Note the easel on his headstone. His son also became a well known sculpture even being selected to do some sculpture for the Royal Family in England. He died in England, date unknown. They are in my ancestral tree on my mothers side.
He is often confused with another William S. Jewett who was also an artiste around the same time; he was William Samuel Lyon Jewett (1834-1876)

RE: Victoria Marie Page (memorial # 76851329)
Hi Dave, thanks for the reply. Victoria Marie Page is my wife's grand mother. If the edit was on George Albert Loiselle Russell then I must have made a typo, since he is the grandfather, and I've posted his photo on the site. In any case, if you's like to transfer the site to me I'll add the links to Victoria's parents. I only recently found the great-grandfather's burial record in Canada, which I was researching in preparation for a trip there.

I live in Maryland, and have not visited the Springfield sites. My wife was born there, and many family members are still there -- they emigrated in the 1860s.

Thanks for the quick reply,
Best,
Glenn

Victoria Marie Page (memorial # 76851329)
HI Dave,
I recently got a message that an edit for this site had been declined since it would remove accurate information. I have been doing a number of edits for the Page family recently and am not sure just which edit the message refers to.

It may have been links to her parents that was the issue. The site for Aglae B Page (# 78713698) had an incorrect birth year that has since been corrected. I posted Aglae's death certificate on her site to show the error. I also came across family papers with a receipt for her headstone which also showed the wrong birth year -- and that was the year shown on the Find A Grave site until the recent correction. Perhaps someone saw the old birth year and concluded that Victoria Page could not be a daughter. But Algae Page's headstone is in fact apparently wrong.

I've also posted Victoria's birth record at the site, and the caption shows the links to her parents.

I hope this information helps. Victoria Marie Page was my wife's grandmother, and Aglae Brunet Page was the great-grandmother.

Best regards, Glenn

RE: Geroge and Persis Savage
Hi Dave,

Thanks for your message, and for the updates to George and Percie's memorials! They aren't my family--I'm researching for a new article about a family (also not mine) buried in Tyringham Cemetery, and the Savages are tangentially related to them. I send edit requests to help "flesh out" and link memorials, but only as I discover solid documentation to do so.

I will definitely check out your Facebook page--thanks for the tip!

Regards,
Patricia

Sorry - the next message is in regards to my grandfather, NOT my great-grandfather, of whom I know almost nothing.
I appreciate you filling in some of the blanks.

Debbie
