Hiya - I had a question.
I noticed you added Elizabeth Marts Reed, memorial # 144824797, to Agnew Cemetery in Henderson County, Kentucky. I've extensively researched the cemetery and have never come across her name before. Could you tell me what drew you to adding her to the cemetery? Thank you!

There is a typo in the birth year of Elizabeth. It should be 1784, not 1874. Please correct.
|Brenda Thompson Kuensting||Lewis and Elizabeth Reed|
I am looking at the two findagrave files for Lewis Reed 1770 to 1841 memorial #144824833 and Elizabeth Marts Reed 1780 to 1841 memorial #144824804.
Both burial unknown.
I have a copy of early KY will dated July 13, 1813 which lists Lewis Reed, wife of Elizabeth. Sons - William and Samuel. Daughters - Elizabeth, Mary and Evaline.
This lists 5 children but does not include Lewis A Reed jr in will...which would make 6 children.
My 3rd great grandfather is Samuel Reed whom married Frances Patterson and they eventually settled in Moniteau County, MO.
I am trying to find his parents and ...maybe Lewis and Elizabeth are his parents.
I am needing someone from the area to help me establish his paternity.

Good evening, Roy,
We did go there and were lucky to meet a lady coming out of the Cottonton post office that directed us to the cemetery.
We climbed a pathway, which actually looked like part of an old road, up the hill. We did not find the relatives that we were hoping to find but did find a few people that were distantly connected.
Appreciate your responding,

Even with the satellite map I am unable to locate this cemetery in Russell County AL.
Are there any particular landmarks that would help?
|Anne McGrew||Samuel Shortridge|
I looked in the Oakland Cemetery book at the Terrell Library and there is no Samuel Shortridge listed. However, there is a S.A. Shortage listed that died May 4, 1908 at age 70 and has an unmarked grave at Oakland. This information is listed in the Kaufman Co. Courthouse records, Bk 1 Page 201 (as listed in the Oakland Cemetery book). Could this be the individual you are looking for?

I sure appreciate your taking the time to photograph and post the image for the gravestone of Jane Trussell out at Lamon-Trussell Cemetery. Many Thanks! - JP
Green Head Cemetery or St. Anthony Cemetery is located in Cottonton, Russell, Al. It is by the Mead paper mill and by a gravel business. You will have to climb from a ditch to get to it. I do not know who takes care of the place. I think the Historical Society of Russell County. My Family of Chapmans are buried there with Allen Chapman brother Edward Chapman. Pat

I saw where you submitted some photos for Howard Family Cemetery on Highway 18 in Seale, AL. I have some questions about this cemetery and was wondering if you were or knew who was responsible for this cemetery.
