Long-time lecturer of writing and women's studies at Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH. I am an addictive reader, am interested in geneaology, folk music and sacred harp, and am an Anglican, guitar player, singer, guardian of two rescue dogs and mother of a beautiful adult son.|
I enjoy walking in cemeteries and have made it a personal project to photograph and record the headstones of military personnel in addition to requests in local cemeteries, in honor of their service and the service of my father, stepfather, and uncles in World War II and Korea, friends from Viet Nam, and students from the Gulf Wars and the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. If any of these service persons or others I have added are family members and/or you wish to manage their memorials, just let me know. I am happy to transfer.
Anyone who wants to use my photos in their family tree, on Findagrave, or any other site may do so without my permission.
I am primarily a volunteer photographer and often am unrelated to the people whose memorials I make, so I am happy to transfer. I am doing this work to honor what would otherwise be lost lives, to make visible what has been forgotten.
I would very much appreciate tributes of love to the memorial of a baby whose heartbreaking obituary I found in a newspaper from 1926, and another from a death record:
Baby John Doe: 136921616
and to a young girl who had a hard life and a brief stay in this world: Rene Holley 145768090
Heartfelt thanks to all those who have already added notes--you mean more than I can say.

I go to the Eisenhour Cemetery near Pemberville once in a while to take pictures, and wouldn't you know it, our friend Henry has created several memorials at that cemetery too. Believe it or not, every once in a while he gets a couple right. I guess even a blind pig will find an acorn if he tries often enough. It's gonna' be a 'scorcher' this week, and I sure hope we get some rain. My garden could use a nice drink.

Good for you guys, Cynthia. We could use a nice little shower ourselves. St. Louis Cemetery was 77% photographed when I started, and it is now 91% complete. I think that's pretty good considering our friend Henry has a lot of people buried there that I couldn't find.

I finished up at St. Louis Cemetery this afternoon, and the last picture I got was the headstone of Angela Ziolkowski, one of the memorials you created. I'm going to take a few days off before I start on another cemetery, and right now I'm going to go water my Tomatoes and Cucumbers. Enjoy a nice afternoon and evening.

It was my pleasure.Glad I could help.

I've been doing pictures at St. Louis Cemetery this week, and I've added a few to some of the memorials that you created. Unfortunately, our friend Henry also created some memorials there, and I can assure you, the nightmare is far from over. Colin
