I have been adding some cemetery records/photos. If anyone requests management over a memorial or has corrections, please use the edit on the memorials. I have taken photos of several cemeteries and it makes granting your request so much easier if you USE THE EDIT TAB.
The Edit tab is located on the top right on the memorial.

On some of the memorials, extra information has been added. Most of this information comes from FHL, Ancestry, Rootsweb, and sometimes FAG members. Mistakes can be made in spellings, tombstone readings, and in the transcription of documents on websites, etc. It is best to order or view the original records to verify all information. Never take anything as fact until it is verified with the original documents.

I feel the NAME PORTION on the memorials should read like the tombstone. This keeps the cemetery tombstone readings as they are in the cemetery. It also keeps the burials in the cemetery accurate.

Please remember the tombstone INSCRIPTIONS WERE CHOSEN by your ancestors.....if they wanted John Joseph Albert Smith on the tombstone they would have put it there...instead of John J. Smith. So....Please don't ask me to change a middle initial to a name on the name section, or ask me to switch a first name with a middle name. If you want to submit additional name suggestions/changes, I will be happy to add it to the biographical section for others to consider. I have taken this approach, because I have run into problems with contributors, for example: saying the middle initial of "R" stands for Richard and then someone else saying..."No, It is Robert" and then someone else saying it is "Reid" after his mother's maiden name. I feel it is safer to leave it as "R". The name portion on the memorials will remain reading like the tombstone.
I will add maiden names with a source to the name portion. Please provide a source.

Please state your relationship when requesting transfers. I follow FAG Guidelines on Transfers. I won't do mass transfers on a surname to researchers on surname project.

PLEASE USE THE EDIT TAB OR KEY!

** PLEASE read the FAQ concerning BURIALS UNKNOWN. They are to be used for RECENT deaths only, not your 4th great grandfather whose burial is 'not located yet.' I will not link to an unknown burial.

RE: Friedrich
When you have time, I would appreciate you sending the gravestone photo. Via the edit tab, I have sent some info regarding Elizabeth Friedrich's father, Anton Telgman. Thanks for all your work.

I know what you mean. You get so many different dates for the same person that sometimes I just use what facts I feel are right for a person and go with it. The dates on the stones aren't always right either. I think that in some cases the stones are set years later, and exact dates get forgotten. Guess we just have to do the best we can.

RE: Thomas D Dodsworth Find A Grave Memorial# 51120955
The only censuses that I could find on him that I was sure about were the 1841 and 1851 in Yorkshire, England. The 1841 for Alberston, Yorkshire showed Thos. Dodsworth age 49 (making his birth year 1792), Bella age 47 (his wife was Isabell Wilson) Ursula age 8 (she married Joseph Warcup), John age 3, and Sarah age 11. Sarah had two children, Elizabeth and Thomas, before immigrating to America and marrying Dawson Darley. The 1851 census for Filey, Scalby, Yorkshire showed Thomas Dodsworth age 56 (making his birth year 1795), Sarah 21(his daughter) and Elizabeth age inf. (his granddaughter).

I used the age of 80 yrs, 5 mos, 23 dys from his date of death on his stone, and went to a "date calculator" on the internet to arrive at his birth date. Hopefully if I am wrong that someone who knows for sure what his birth date was will let me know. I will gladly correct it if I am wrong.

RE: Frances Topping
Hi,

What I propose is not a suggestion but a fact. Alt name would be more appropriate for all genealogist.
Nobody will find her under Frances if they need vital records.

That's why according to her baptism and marriage her name was realy Francoise. I guest that Frances was shorter and more convinient for everybody at that time.

Thanks

Hi, & thanks for getting back to me.Its ok not to change Jessie's name.
I actually sent the request before I read your profile RE
...NAME PORTION on the memorials should read like the tombstone...
I hadnt thought of it before, but your way of listing makes really good sense.
It would seem to make everything more accurate & easier to locate .
I do have her marriage record that notes her name as Maude.
Other pass down family records note her as Maudie. But, I do like your way
better of doing the listing. I can just add a little flower with a notation of her name.
Thank you for all the work you do here. You have done a lot to help in the search.
Are you a "Don Carlos" researcher, if so, I hope we might exchange notes ? Again, many thanks.

RE: Naomi Burnett
I took that off Ancestry, a family tree, without verifying. I too, couldn't find the index of proof. thanks for catching that, I should not have asked for edit without further research.
