My greatest passion in life is genealogy and family history. It all started in the 80s when my birth mother decided she wanted to know her roots. She now knows first hand and the mystery of her mother's genealogy is still a mystery to me.|
I do not have a camera so headstone photos are not an option but I am willing to help others where possible. In addition to my own direct lines, I support my extended family members in their quest for knowledge.
Family names I am actively researching: HALL, VAN SCOY, PEOPLES/PEEBLES, DeBERRY, BAKER, MARTIN, DONAHUE, BENNION, LEHNER, VALENTINI/VALENTINE, CIFERNI, BROWN, KNAM, STEWART, THORNTON, DAVIDSON, GAY, BARGER, BOLLING (and variations), MONK, FREDIANI, La CHANCE, and the list goes on and on.
PET PEEVE (borrowed from a friend): Find A Grave "number" collectors who have no interest in genealogy or family links and refuse to transfer to relatives unless they meet so-called "findagrave guidelines". Shame on you!

Thanks for getting back to me with the info that you received. I plan on going there tomorrow so I will check to see if I goofed and did not see Francis's headstone. I really thought I checked both sides of the two stones with Natalie's name, and even above and below. I'm also getting old and slow and maybe when I saw two stones with Natalie's name on them I got lost. I will get back to you tomorrow. Thanks again, Judy

|Leigh Kendrick||RE: MORAN Family|
Sherry, Did I send you anything on James Edward Moran. I can't remember and didn't want to delete your public message without knowing. I can e-mail you info in book form if you give me you e-mail address. It is too much to put on a public message. My e-mail is . Leigh
Hi Sherry, I have posted a headstone photo on John's memorial #182877227, however there are 2 memorials for John, also #182877224. Do let me know what you find out about the problem with the stones. Have a good week, Judy

I went back to Forest Hills in Alexander, AR to clean and photograph Lois's marker. It was in pretty bad shape when I was there before getting Earl's photo for you. The marker was covered with black mold and lichen but cleaned up nicely I think. She didn't have a memorial so I created one and promised her I would go back and make things right. Today was the day. Memorial # 183547444 can be yours if you want, just let me know.
|Judy||Steinbach Photo Request|
Hi Sherry, I attempted to fill the two photo requests at Queen of Heaven for you and have found a problem. Francis Steinbach 1919-1992 is buried in sec 106 blk 44 lot 58 grave 2, however the headstone, which is new, has the names of Natalie, 1923-2009 and John 1954-2017. Next to that headstone is another stone with the name Natalie C. Steinbach, April 13, 1923 - August 7, 2009. I have posted the requested photo for Natalie in sec 106 blk 44 lot 58 grave 1, which is where she is buried according to cemetery records. I wonder if the new stone was suppose to be placed in grave 1 and instead was placed in grave 2 where Francis is buried. I did not check where John is supposed to be buried. Burial information is obtained from a kiosh machine so I have not been in contact with anyone at the cemetery office. Something is wrong, hope you are able to find out where the headstone for Francis is. Judy

Yes please feel free!

The message below is from me. My wife was signed in on this computer and I didn't see that until I sent you the message.
|Loretta K. Oliver Bacon||Sybil Geneva Blount|
I created this memorial for Sybil because she did not have one and was on the marker with her husband, Walter (your requested photo). I wanted a way to link them. She is not my family and I would be happy to transfer her memorial to you if you would like.
P.S. I also have a photo of Earl Blount's marker you requested and will post it shortly. His wife also has a marker in bad need of cleaning before I take a photo of it. I ran out of cleaning supplies the day I was in Alexander taking photos. She does not have a memorial so I will research her and create one for her as I did for Sybil Geneva. If you would like it transferred to you I will. It may be a few weeks before I can get back over there for a day.

I photographed the grave marker for William at Pinecrest, Alexander, AR. I was able to do this because you listed the section, Garden of Apostles. This is a very large cemetery and without that information it would be impossible to find it. The Pinecrest office has started charging $25 to look up 1-10 burials for geneoalogical purposes and charge another $25 for numbers 10-20. Gone are the days of walking into the office and asking for lookups unless the deceased is a relative. I am saying this because I noticed you have requests for Pinecrest and Forrest Hills cemeteries in Alexander. If you are able to call the offices and find locations I will be happy to photograph them for you. If they won't look them up for you without charging it would be a great time to express your concern for their new policy.
