Bio Photo Hello,

I am here, making a small footprint, creating memorials and photographing burial sites. My headstone photos may be used with proper credit. I hope they help many people in more ways than one.

Recording the death of someone is in honor of their life, and never meant to disrespect those left to mourn. I understand the pain of losing family and friends; and also the awe of finding an ancestor. It is bittersweet in some ways..

Please leave a flower for my mother, June; Father, Jack; and my two sisters, Kay Rose, who was taken from us far too soon, and Gwen, also my best friend. I never imagined life without her ~ Thank you!

My family line is: Smith of IN/Germany; Carpenter of LA; Klein of LA/Germany; Girard of LA/France; Van Auken of IN/Holland; Van Wormer of NY/Holland (etc); which we all know....leads to many others :)

I will transfer any family members as long as they are not mine, unless it is a mandatory. If I have your family or close friend, please explain the relationship, as all requests will be considered individually.

If you ask me to include information on a memorial, please Include Your Sources via SAC; under "edits" on the said memorial. I will deny any that do not have a source under edits or to my email. Having spent many, many hours correcting errors on my own family members, I'd prefer not to be the one who spreads misinformation on anyone else's family members. Should you have any questions about a memorial and see my name or member ID as the source of information, please contact me and not the person who maintains the memorial. This is why the information is posted.
Thanks, in advance, for understanding.

...Life is short, be nice, play kind, and don't sweat the small stuff...

Thank you,
C. R. Smith

I live nearby and poked around there today. I saw your note and wanted to add to your thoughts. I found several of the family sections seeking photos (like the Jacks) that contained graves that were either unmarked, the headstone was lost or damaged, or the marker was so weathered it could not be read. I also noticed on the far side there was graves down in the woods (those were ineligible).

Made me wish for some high tech stuff.

Might try a paper and charcoal rub on some of those to see if I get any more detail.

Hello, I made the corrections, but was wondering what name you would like left for her? I see on the 1910 Census her name was down as Leocardia. Would you like that put as her name and then Laura put down as a nickname?

Thank you very much for your help in solving that mystery for me. I have moved Adeline's page. It would have been nice if whoever created that cemetery page had made note of that. Thanks again.

Sincerely, Vickie
