Preitkis family
I've transferred the memorials for Pearl and her daughter Rose to you. I discovered a couple of brief notices in the California Digital Newspaper Collection on the internet and added them. The notice about the wife of G.J. Preitkis "leaving his bed and board" is curious since it was published in May 1913 and it appears Pearl died in 1912 according to the marker date. Perhaps he married again?

Glad you found the memorials and if I have others of your family, let me know and I'll be happy to transfer the memorials to you.

RE: Phebe Halbert Jordan
Hi D,
I've updated Phebe's memorial to include additional information about her daughter, Jane (Jordon) Wixon. I've also added an internal link to Jane's memorial. Because I'm not custodian of Jane's memorial, I'm not able to link her memorial to her mother's.
I wish you Happiness,

Hi, Thankyou for all the additional info. I hope that I have made proper changes. I have also added memorials for several other Peckham's buried at Chestnut Hill.

RE: Thank you!!
You are so welcome. I found others by that name also. Very interesting old cemetery. But seems to be pretty well preserved.

I uploaded all the graves in Clarksville Cemetery that weren't already on Find A Grave. I'd be happy to transfer any of those that I've created to you.

Were you aware of Edith's first husband and child?

I'm trying to get the cemetery photographed before winter truly hits, but I'm afraid winter is going to win. Oh well, there's always bext spring.

Reuben Wixson
Hi Dayna

If you really believe that Reuben is buried in Virginia, you should write an email to including his memorial number, and request that it be designated as a cenotaph. A cenotaph is a stone erected for someone known to be buried elsewhere. It doesn't change anything about the memorial, it just alerts people that he is not actually there.

PS Sorry about the 2 previous non-messages, sometimes my computer goes a little crazy if I use enter instead of tab; I don't know why.
