Wood(s) of Franklin County, TN
Are you aware of any connection between your Woods family and the Charles Wood family of Franklin County, TN? Charles was born around 1780. He married Elizabeth Smith in Franklin County,TN in 1839 and I believe she was not his first wife. I believe Charles had a brother named Basil Wood and a son from another marriage named Baldwin Wood. Charles and Elizabeth's son Wallace Buchanan Wood is my ancestor. They had other children, but I'm trying to be brief. I have tried to find a connection between my Wood family (which had no letter "s" on the end at least in later generations) and the other Woods in Franklin County and have had no success. I once thought my gg-aunt's name being Henry Estill Wood (they spelled her name like a boy's name) might be a good indication we were related to the Estills through the Woods, but someone in the family thinks her "Estill" middle name may be from being named after the doctor who delivered her.
I have worked on this line for a long time and when I saw your account on Find A Grave I decided to contact you hoping you might know something about the Charles Wood family I have been researching.

Thank you,

Mary Wilson Allison

John & Abigail Woods
I visited the Jones Cemetery about 25-30 years ago. As I recall, it was out in the middle of a cattle pasture and some of the stones were broken and not in good shape. I took 35 mm pictures of John & Abigail Woods tombstones but the pictures did not develop very well. Do you have any pictures of these tombstones?

Hello! so excited about the work done for the woods family. My dad came directly from Matthew Mann, Charles Fox, James Woods, Capt John Woods...etc.
I saw you had posted a picture on john turner woods page citing 1913 John turner woods chance could you tell me who is in the picture? Wondering if my dad's grandparents or someone direct is in the picture.
Thanks for your time!

RE: John Washington Neece
I'll transfer John Washington Neece to you. According to my records, his sister, Martha Elberta Neece, married my g-grandfather, John
Alexander Lance.

I'll need you to place a request on John's Find A Grave page, in order for me to do the transfer.

Have a really great day

LTC William Woods 1715
Hello Ingemar ~

I am a WikiTree genealogist and would like to request to use your Find A Grave memorial for LTC William Woods born 1715 as a source for his profile in WikiTree. I would like to insert the comments you include in the WikiTree profile within the Biography section of the WikiTree profile. May I have your permission to do so?

Is there a gravestone in the cemetary for which we could request a gravestone photo as another point of documentation?

Thank you for your time and your contributions on Find A Grave.
