John,

Would you consider transferring Hugh Corwin's memorial (Memorial# 64130531) to me? He is the founder of the Southwestern Oklahoma Historical Society, and I am currently the Vice President of SWOKHS, and would like to add a bunch of info and photos, etc. Thank you for your consideration.

Trapper John, my pleasure. The app said it failed to load the photo but loaded it four times. I just deleted three of them since they were all identical.

Lela is definitely the child of George and Luella Hochderffer...have no idea why they misspelled the last name when she died, nor why she was placed in this cemetery in Apache when the entire rest of the family is in the other one. Anyway, her last name is definitely HOCHDERFFER. Brant Casford (my GFather Joseph barely remembered her)

So glad we figured this out! Thank you for creating the memorial and then transferring it.

Miss Lily
Take a peek at her memorial now. I may add some things over time. Next step is to send the memorial to members of the LHS Class of 61 and allow them to post their tributes.
Thank you so much again. It feels just right that I did this for her and learned far more about her than I knew when she was my teacher.
God Bless You
Jean

Thank you. She meant a lot to me. And I have touched that your father remembered her too. I will take good care of her.
Blessings, Jean

She never married and taught school for in Lawton and before she moved here for many years. She taught both me and my husband physics and geology. Very memorable teacher.
The rumor was that she lost her fiancee in WWI and never married.
She was Regent of the local Lawton DAR chapter and taught the Dorcas Sunday School class at Central Baptist Church for many years. She found a mammoth tooth on one of her many digs she did with students and donated it to The Museum of the Great Plains. I found many newspaper clippings about her and I thought I would interview some of my classmates while we are still here.
I would like to memorialize her if you would agree to transfer her to me, or if you would add a short bio for me, I will create one and be thankful she is remembered.
Thanks for putting up her memorial. I have wondered for a long time what happened to her and was overjoyed to find her.
Blessings,
Jean Wheatly

Hello Cousin!
I'm just dropping by to say hello. I've been attaching your posts regarding the McGhan clan, quite colourful, thank you so much for sharing! :D My direct maternal 2xggm is Bessie McGhan, daughter of Silas McGhan and Julia Ann Maria Clayton. Check my profile for the McGhan virtual cemetery I've created if you like, should find them in there.

Warmly,
Ally
