Bio Photo Started genealogy when assisting my son with a Boy Scout Merit Badge about 1999. Cried when I found my grandparents and Uncle Bobby's headstones on here. (Bobby died when he was three.) Michelle

Please feel free to use pictures and information that I post for your personal and private genealogical purposes only (other than Ancestry)and please give credit. HOWEVER, PLEASE DON'T RE-UPLOAD MY FAMILY PICTURES AND RESEARCH TO ANCESTRY. ANY PICTURE THAT I HAVE UPLOADED TO FIND A GRAVE of my family, I HAVE ALSO UPLOADED TO ANCESTRY. JUST FIND IT ON ANCESTRY AND ATTACH IT TO YOUR TREE WITH THE ORIGINAL DATE AND SUBMITTER. When I fulfill photo requests, I try to get everyone in the same plot and provide extra information to the family. It helps me and I hope that it helps others. Right now, I'm working on Oak Grove in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia and hope to branch out to other area cemeteries in the future.

Also, I am happy to transfer relatives to family members who will care for them even if you are not close relatives. Obviously, the closer relative asking has the right to care for a memorial before a distant relative but the important thing is for a memorial to be taken care of, added to and for it to reflect the life that it memorializes. Please use the edit tab to request changes or transfers. I don't generally transfer my own relatives unless you are within guidelines and I am not or there is a really good reason.

Thank you for sending obituaries but I do not usually add them unless I wrote them or have permission from the author, funeral home or newspaper that they appeared in. If an obituary meets those criteria, the names of living people will be removed. All of this is per Find A Grave guidelines.

According to the photos on the Arlington National Cemetery website, both names are on the headstone (John and Julia).

RE: William Reed
His wife's name is not on the stone so she is not buried with him.

RE: re: Elias Helsel
You're quite welcome, glad to help. Apparently, this marker was unearthed within the year or so, as it wasn't there last time I photographed the older section of Obetz.

RE: James and Mary Presto
My pleasure. I also created a memorial with the same photo for Veronica and Andrew Williams, parents of Mary Presto. In addition, added a marker photo for the nearby grave of Charles P. Williams, a son of Veronica and Andrew and brother of Mary Presto.

RE: Jack Townsend
I have found the location of Charles Townsend, which is 2 rows East of Jack's Grave. I will get a picture of the location my next trip to the cemetery. According to the cemetery records he does not have a headstone either.

RE: Guetlich family tree
Thank you. I'll send it off as soon as I log into my e-mail. What is the date you're reading for Anna's birth? I may be reading it incorrectly as I put through the edit to read 3 Nov, 1879. I've made a lot of headway very quickly and 2 of the 4 siblings had no children. It also looks like a third didn't either, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. My last hope is for daughter Anna Guetlich Websters line and they're half way across the state. I will keep you posted! Kathi

Guetlich family tree from antique shop
I saw your note attached to the beautiful family tree found in an antique shop in Atlanta! The cemetery that Philip Guetlich (#42526637) is buried in (Lancaster, Erie Co. NY) is local for me; I've added thousands of memorials to it over the last few years. I would love to take that off your hands in hopes of being able to track current descendants. Of course, he had 3 daughters whose names changed, but I am tracing his only son now. He died in 1955 so I'll keep on going from there. One has to be very careful as there were two people in the same town named Philip Guetlich and they were only five years apart in age. I have narrowed down the correct one and am finding his wife and the son mentioned above in a different (Catholic) cemetery. I have those records as well so I'll start setting up memorials and connecting people as it's easier for me to then keep track and trace these people. If you're willing to part with the document, let me know. Worse case, I'm at the local historical society every Sunday and can leave it with them if all other avenues are exhausted. Nice find by the way, thank you for saving it! Kathi
