Jabez Kilburn
You created memorials for Jabez and his family. (see Memorial# 50973849) I was wondering where you learned that his name was spelled Kilburn instead of Kilborn. Even though he is a 1st cousin 5x removed, not all ancestors spelled it with a 'u'. Thank you in advance for your input.

Hi Laurie, would you consider transferring this memorial to myself? He is my 4th ggrandfather and there is a lot of confusion with him and a Samuel who fought in Rev war from Essex County, NJ. If not that is OK and I will send you some edits. Many thanks, Phil

Find A Grave Memorial# 46922307

Are you able to connect Elizabeth Leib Wells to her husband Giles Wells. I'm a direct descendant of Giles' twin brother, Miles Wells who was killed on the Sultana Explosion. Miles married the sister of Elizabeth (Sarah Leib Brenizer Wells Strater Summerlott). Sarah was married 4 times before she died at age 51. Can't find her grave in Iowa. Elizabeth is mentioned in the Wayne County marriage records to Giles Wells. The John I Wells family is listed in Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio in 1850. The Benjamin Leib family is listed in Wayne County in 1850 as well. Elizabeth Leib is listed in the Bible record of her sister Sarah (transcription-not original bible) located in the Wooster Ohio genealogy library. After Elizabeth's death, Giles was later married to a Lydia Ritter (Wayne County Ohio records). No record of a divorce but records of her in an asylum in Ohio for "menstrual irregularities". (Wayne County records) I believe there was a son born to Elizabeth and Giles but no issue to Giles and Lydia that I'm aware. Giles marries Martha Swafford after the Civil War and has 5 children. He was in poor health until he died in 1886. He lost 2 of his brothers in the War and and his father in late 1865 or early 1866.
Thank you for your time.

Frances Barton Schellin
Ran across something interesting while working on Sec. 26a at Glendale and doing a bit of research on Henry Schellin. On 14 Sept. 1915, Frances Ball, d/o Isaac N. and Alice Hottinger Barton, married Birten Ball, of McClure, Henry Co., Ohio, son of John and Ruth Hunter Ball. Frances was listed as having one previous marriage, and was divorced. So it looks like she divorced the first Mr. Ball, and married possibly his cousin. I could not locate her marriage to Schellin, which would have shed light on what happened to the second Mr. Ball. Henry Schellin, interestingly enough, is buried beside her, although I believe his grave is unmarked. He too had three marriages, and I suspect his second ended in divorce, as I could not locate the second wife dying.

I have added Henry and linked him to Frances.

Harry George Halliwell

My Grandpa was a Custodian at Westfield Insurance, he had worked there as his last job after the Boxboard sometime but up until 1975, a year before he passed away.

I am guessing we are cousins, my Mom, Joann Halliwell - Marken was Grandpa's daughter.

I want to tell you how it is a privilege and an honor to be your cousin too, the work you went through to compile the history of the family is remarkable, thank you.
