Perry Kuehne
Hi MSLY, here is the obituary for Perry Kuehne

LINDSEY -- W. Perry Kuehne passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 22, 2013, after a brief battle with cancer.

Perry was born on July 15, 1927, in Canandaigua, N.Y., to William and Zoe Kuehne, of Rushville, N.Y. Perry graduated from Middlesex Valley Central School, in Rushville, N.Y. in 1945 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy after graduation. He completed boot camp at Sampson, N.Y. and attended technical training at Norman, Okla., where he qualified as an aircraft instrument mechanic. Perry was then stationed at NAS Quonset, R.I. He served four years in the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1949.

After his military service, Perry farmed and maintained vineyards in and around Rushville, N.Y. until 1972. He then worked as a service manager for various farm equipment dealerships in New York, Texas, and Ohio, including the Streaker Tractor Dealership in Fremont. Perry loved to travel within the United States, especially in the western states, and has visited all the states with the exception of Alaska. In retirement, he loved woodworking, gardening, genealogy, and World War II history.

Perry leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Gladys Brown Kuehne, and his beloved dog Susie, as well as five children and their families: Robert and his wife Shirley; Arthur and his wife Linda; Patricia and her husband Jim; Kristine; Jonathan and his wife Julie. He also leaves 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, as well as a brother David of Rushville, N.Y.

Please join the family for a celebration of Perry’s life on April 6, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, located at 231 S. Maple Street, Lindsey, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital, 430 S. Main Street, Clyde, Ohio, 43410.

Susan F. (Halstead) Cook
I created this memorial for Susan and also the memorial for her husband Louis Cook. I'm in VT now and will photograph their stones. The reason I did not include her birth date is that the transcription of the gravestone indicates that she was born 25 Oct 1886 and I know that's wrong. So I suspect that the stone says 1836. We'll know pretty soon.

I'm glad I could take the photo for you. Usually we get a lot of snow during February, but this year there is almost no snow on the ground, so on Saturday afternoon I was able to go to that cemetery and take photos.

Milligan Beard
OK, I checked our local museum today and they do not show Milligan's wife Carolyn/Caroline at Fairplay Cemetery.

Someone from Sacramento had inquired back in 2001 I believe it was.

This can drive one nuts if one lets it! So sorry I was unsuccessful with any help ~ Jo

Milligan Beard
Hello ~ Sorry I wasn't more help!

The indication is that she was buried at Fairplay Cemetery. When I get a chance I can check in town and see if she is listed on those records. ~ Jo

Milligan Beard
Hello ~ I saw your request for a photo of the grave marker for Milligan.

If you read the notes for the cemetery, you will see there are NO remaining grave markers for this historic cemetery.

So sorry ~ Jo C
